PIC HERE

pic wouldnt go as straight link so had to do hyperlink, sorry...........

..........now i know in previous versions of GT, including 4 and prologue, have seemed NOT to include interiors. my question: so why the hell does this car have a dash and wheel? could this be a suprise for us fans? what ya think?

(btw i searched for this topic but the search is so innacurate i thought **** it)

From what I've heard, the cars in GT4 WILL have interiors. How much the interiors will be painstakenly re-created to the tee of their real-life breathern isn't yet known, but there will be interiors in there. Trust me.

another pic

here is another one, showing alot of detail in the car and the struts holding the door up. have we got any pics of the interior apart from the cobra and 350z? also, where is there confirmation of interiors?

Well, we know they have rudimentary interiors, since we can now see in the windows to see the driver and such.

But I believe all these pics are from the Photo Mode. No doubt because of the added resolution and printability of the images, these are probably not "game" models, but special hi-poly models for use in Photo Mode. The models themselves don't take up much space on the drive, and the system doesn't really have to do anything with them like control or racing, so they can afford to have a much higher poly count than the normal game models do.

I think that might be one of PDs secrets. The Z and Cobra interiors looked very accurate by the way. 👍 I can't wait to buy a convertible and watch the little man in the car shift and pretend it's me. :dopey:

havent u guys see that video where they interview whats his name about the photo mode, its called GT4_OPM.avi

in that video u can see full interiors, (from what looks like replays) ane even a killer shot of a driver in the seat stering and shifting! (while racing).

i have it saved on my harddrive, dont rememberr where i got it, (OPM seeems to imply official playstation magazine.)

They only have interiors when they HAVE too, ie on cars with massive open windows and convertables. The rest have a dark abyss for an interior.

glitched

You got it from me. Send your thank you letters to my inbox.

Cars in GT3 had interiors... but only in your garage... I strongly suspect that the Photo cars are made up from the Garage/showroom models that are a bit more high-res...

Obviously the Open-tops will have interiors in races too...

Otherwise they tend to have darkened windows... but if you look at it in Prologue you can see a driver and an empty passenger seat... (And in Rally races this changes to Driver and Co-Driver)

Those two images look the same just the cars are different colors. It could just be a image from the garage part of the game. Maybe they changed it to where you can look at um up close and not spinning around. Lolz

I think thats proably a picture from photo mode. In photo mode you would want as much detail as possible.

The Fairlady Z Roadster has it's top down when you drive it in Prologue, however there are only two cars on the track during the race...

I read in an interview once from mr Yama-san himself, that PD won't include a driver when the car isn't an open top model. So when there's no driver included, why should they include an interiour ?

^ actually, from what we've heard all cars will have a driver. What i agree with is code and that only cars where you can clearly see in and all the convertibles will have interiors. Apparently the awesome driver animation seen in replays will also exist for hardtops as well.

thats good to know. the animation for the drivers is breathtaking.

I am shocked no one mentioned the interior in the Prologue versions of GT4. You can easily see inside the interior of the cars, especially the convertibles. You can see the drivers feet when he shifts gears. You can also see him take the stick in a manual transmission and he will shift it to the proper location. 1st, 2nd, 3rd.... Then when he downshifts you can see the shifter go back to that gear. I have video of this that I posted on other sites. Its amazing. Each interior is different too. If I remember correctly, the interior color also changes you change the exterior color of the car.

Can you please post the video here man?

I'm quite liking the theory about it being the garage. Think about it, has anyone heard of the ability to open the car doors in photo mode? Also, does anyone recognise that backdrop from any of the photo mode locations? We've had the same spinning car garage for all the previous GTs, why not have a bit of an update for GT4?

Yet another GT4 thread, the topic being on interiors. I think it's all about trying to get down every detail, even if you have to sacrifice a few things. Like in GTA: Vice City, you can see Tommy Vercetti driving the car when looking behind you while in a vehicle. The variety is wonderful in that game, branching from lowly golf carts to that Rhino tank (best fun you can have in the game). Of course, I think it's possible. The funny thing in GT3 is that with some drop-tops, you can see the car with the top down, but when racing... uh... how come I don't see my hair/afro flying in the wind? I don't really think you see interiors much in racing. Like, do you see the inside of the Bentley EXP GT at speed? Probably not. And if you did, you'd probably see the driver's helmet and maybe his/her hands on the wheel. So I think interiors may happen. If not in GT4, then it will be at least considered for GT5. Don't know for sure, but if I had to guess... well. We seen some with pictures of some droptops in action. Some of you may have seen a convertible with the top down, and you see the driver shifting gears and turning the steering wheel. I see great things for GT4 if this holds true. Who knows? You may see so much of the interior that you'll notice moving fuzzy dice on the rear view mirror, maybe some CDs hanging, or something like that.

I think it'll happen to make a long story short. Thing is, can GT implement it as best as possible while not sacrificing frame rate or unnecessary slowdowns? That's up to PD to investgate and us to wonder. By the way, welcome to GTPlanet, Vetteus.

By 98Cobra. Can you please post the video here man
Watch this video thats on gametrailers.com About 2 minutes into the video there is a guy drifing a Cobra. You will see him shifting gears but it doesnt show much on that vid.

I will get the video late tonight from my house. If I have to I will make a new video. The only problem is I will need a host for this. Hopefully I will have it posted tonight for everyone. :)
Edit: I used to have this posted on the GTH.d2g site but it is down for a long time.

If it's like Prologue there'll only be two cars on the track whilst racing convertibles.

I have the vids and need someone to host them. It is only 1.8 mb in size. I asked 4 people to host the vid but im waiting for replies. I will be back in about 4 hours then mabey I can post the vid by then.

yeah, i can confirm that the droptop Z has awesome driver animations in prolouge, however none of the other droptops (miata, copen, etc.) have there tops down while racing. I can host my own video, and i can have it up shortly as well

Edit: please also post yours, mine is 43mb and high quality, my school will be very unhappy with me if everybody downloads this, needless to say, it will only be available for a limited time.
