right im at the type r championship, before the last race (race 5) i saved the game in the championship window, where it says go to next race etc. right i won it with full points 50 pionts, but i got this crap mugan s2000 worth cr. 15,000, how do i go back to my save so i can do the last race without interupting the championship like.

step by step would be great. thanks!

btw which is the most expensive car out of these
Honda NSX Type R, Honda S2000, Mugen S2000, Spoon S2000
like which can i sell for most. i won a lotus elise 190 once, but i sold it straight away, but for cr. 8,000, why do they depreciate so much?

gurdas,

I'm not sure if you are sitting around still waiting for an answer, but the way you do it is.

If it's a 5 race series (which I think it is) and you saved after the 4th race, just let it pick your car and if it isn't the right one, keep hitting the Triangle button until you get back to the title screen (where you choose Arcade or Simulation. If you scroll down the list, you'll find Load Game.

Just load your game and it'll take you back to your saved point at the end of race #4.

Now, just to save you more time. When you start Race 5, just drive for a couple of seconds, then choose to exit the race. You should be far enough ahead in points that even if you take a DNF, you'll still win.

If you get the car you want, good. Go save the game. if you didn't, repeat the same process.

I personally would choose the Type R NSX, but you may like the S2000's. Either the Spoon or the Mugen. I'm not sure about the price on the S2000's, but the NSX should get you about $25k (if I remember correctly)

I believe you get 1/4 of the "purchase price" of the car. And, since the NSX is worth about a $100k (again, just going my memory), then you'll get 1/4 of that.

Anyone, feel free to correct me about the values.

:D

If you are looking to make money quickly (which it sounds like) I'd take either the NSX or the Spoon (I like the spoon for some reason) and then go take it to the Amateur American Championship or the Amateur European Championship Either race is relatively easy, and you will get either a $250k Camaro Race car or a $300k Gillet Vertigo (even if it's god awful looking, some people say it's great to drive).

Now, I have no idea what car you are driving, but, I went with the American Championship. You'll be up against a Mustang Cobra R, Camaro SS, a Corvette Grand Sport, and a Shelby Cobra.

If you think you can beat 'em with any of your current cars, great. But, I'd personally go for the NSX, throw some $$ at it and then win the Camaro Race car. (Decent car).

cool, i finally figured how to do the last race trick, but i didnt know you could take a DNF:p ill do that next time.

well i took the nsx and sold it, because i already have a nsx with all mods.

if i remember correctly these are the cars i currently have, in order of fastest. they are all kitted out with, stage 3 weight reduction, highest grade turbos, na tunes.

skyline gtr vspec2 - 1005bhp
dodge viper gts-900bhp
nsx type r-600bhp
evo 7-550bhp
tvr tuscan speed 6-600bhp
vx220-300bhp

but also, in the professional league, the tuscan challange, i did a the test circuit, the huge one, and my tuscan accelerates and is tuned higher than all the others but on lap 4 they over took me, anyone know why this is?

Ya, there's some other tricks too. You may want to search on this too. Umm... when you are racing a series, and you don't want to do a race (I personally hate SSR11), just race ahead until you are in 1st place, then just exit the race. You still take a DNF, but there is no first place finisher - ie - No one gets 10 points. The guy that was behind you could get (at maximum) 6 points.

Using this trick/cheat/bug, you only have to race a few of each race in the series - I think the lowest I've done is 5 on a 10 race series. (but I believe the 2nd place guy finished in last on 1 or 2 races).

But, on a 7 race series, you can easily get away with only racing 4 of the 7 races.

Hmm... Well, you are likely tuned for accelleration, not for top end. Go into settings and move the "Auto" setting over to the right a few notches. If you look at the little graph, It shows ya your gears. When the 6th gear line (the last on the right) is touching the upper right hand corner of the graph, that's 200mph (I think). So, if you found your engine was topping out while you were still part way down the straight, bump it up a little to the right.

Just run on Free Run mode in Arcade 'till you get the gearing set correctly. In a nutshell, you want it to *just* top out at the point where you have to brake for the corner. ie - the entire straight, you'll be accellerating (however slowly)

Does that make sense?

Oh, btw, just a suggestion- Looking from your car list, I would say you should detune some of your cars... in the position that you're in right now, you don't need excessively tuned cars (with some exceptions, such as the Tuscan in the Tuscan Cup). You might want a Stage 1 or 2 Tuneup/Turbo, but you don't need 1000+ hp... if you get used to that too early, you won't be able to develop highly fine-tuned driving skills. ;)

Well, in a word, NO.

Roadracing is all about conservation of momentum. You need to carry as much speed as possible through a turn, so you start the following straight at the highest speed you can.

With a musclebound car, you can just power your way out of trouble. That's fine as far as it goes, but it won't teach you how to drive smoothly so you can squeeze every last MPH out of a corner. Learning on an underpowered car teaches you to flow around the track better.

I totally agree. I used to run fully moded cars, and while they'll get you through a lot of races, they don't really teach you how to drive well. The Pro races are tough even in tuned cars, so you really need to learn to drive smoothly and cleanly, even if you use a high-power car to practice in.

Hey man, I know what you are saying, but the other guys are right. I used to subscribe to the "power over skill" logic every time...

Then, one day I decided to start doing the Time Trials. And, that was a great wake up for me. :) You have to learn to find the right line, when to brake, etc... etc... or you'll never make it.

After 2 hours of doing laps of Trial Mountain, it was a lesson I learned pretty quickly.

:D
