Having not driven my Leaf yet; I have a question. When driving the Leaf, is there any noise whatsoever in the cabin? Or at all, for that matter?

Thanks.

no way to tune up this POS... Drove it once, went to tune shop... Parked it in the back corner of my garage and covered with a tarp.

1: you're new here so try to stay on topic.

2: LOL we're not all children with a need to tune everything for power 👍

And you can tune it with customisation suspension parts and stuff.

Wait till you try to enter an endurance race with the Leaf.
Pit-stop - connect to power and wait several hours :-)

And you dont have to be a child to tune all your cars. He paid for his game NOT YOU so he can play it how he likes.

In real life yes but in GT5 you cannot fill the battery at all in a pitstop. So once your batteries are out, they are out for good unless if you can somehow charge it again through regenerative braking.

In the new patch you can charge it, but I haven't tried yet to see how long it takes. (It would be funny if it took a matter of hours like real life, but I doubt that is the case.)

I love having this car in the game for variety and seeing how it sounds and looks.

Im sure thats only B-spec.

Electric cars (opponent cars and your cars in B-Spec) will now pit-in automatically to recharge the battery.

*you're. And I've been on here a lot longer than you.

Calm down buddy 👍 send me a PM if you wanna vent :sly:

Just thought about the aerodynamic mods too, I should have mentioned that with the suspension settings :dunce:

Yeah if you drive one in real life, it hardly makes a sound. The "whine" in the game is a tad unrealistic.

In the game it must have the racing transmission with straight cut gears, or at least a racing diff...

Oh, wait... nevermind.

How, pray tell, were you expecting to tune up an engine with just one moving part?

I tried it stock in a few of the beginner races, like sunday cup etc

Its a good challenge and the car handles well. Tops out at around 150 ish but is good in the corners

Bigger motor maybe, bike pedals in the cabin... I was hoping for something... but I couldn't put anything on the car except tires. This car along with a few of the go-carts, the mini coopers and the beetle, and a few duplicates are now cleaned out of my garage thanks to the new update.

Yeah, there's noise. It's the kind of noise that makes you want to not drive it.

The only familliarity I have with tuning electric motors is with RC cars, but with those you can change brushes, comminicators, etc. No clue what's changeable on a full-size electric motor.

There should only be environmental, tire and wind noise. The ridiculous whine is stupid and irritating as this car is completely silent in real life. Not sure why they made the car sound like a weak jet engine. It makes no sense if they were trying to make an accurate model of this car.

You know, I drove the Leaf the other day in a severely disadvantaged race and won by the skin of my teeth. I found the car actually kind of enjoyable with how easy it was to take corners with the right tuning. To be honest, I can't believe I am saying this about an electric car, but it most definitely isn't the worst thing I have drove in this game.

As much as I hate to admit it, I agree. I would like to see some sort of power-tuning options for electric cars. A stronger motor, or perhaps a higher voltage battery pack or higher voltage wires. Something!! Even the Tesla can't accept any additional power-ups if I remember correct.

Granted, these mods would make electric cars even more useless on the tracks than they are now (except for sprint races under 10 laps on smaller tracks, perhaps) but I'd still like the option for more power.

 This^ made me laugh.
Anyway, thanks guys for the rapid replies.
Having now driven the Leaf, I have to say i'm pleased with the driving aspect of the car; but the annoying whine and excessive wind noise are a big let-down.

This problem here can be solved by muting your TV. Then you have no noises coming from the engine at all. Silent; just how it is in real life.
