Looks good Luxy 👍 , a little more power this time ey... I'll give it a go a little later, still working on your first one. Just a little more...

Another nice one, Luke. 👍

The Opera feels very good with the -20% power. Very easy too drive and still a tad slippery, if you don't treat her nicely. Great Fun. :D

First brief session:

28.607
55.369
1'32.168

With an OK start, but a bad finish.

*Waiting impatiently for Eric and James* :dopey:

I choose -20% so that the uphill S after the hairpin would be easy to keep clean, but it feels pretty good all around, imho :D

My best clean time from testing last night was:

0'28.733
0'54.743
1'30.788

That's with a DS2, so I imagine there's a decent chunk left in it ....

I drove a little more:

28.541
54.903
1'31.582

I have always loved to race SSR5. It has such a sweet flow, but as usually I really stink here. Can't really see much more time out there, except for the usual clean up that'll maybe add up to 0.5 sec, if I'm lucky. :scared:

Mind if I join the fun?

T1 - 28.269
T2 - 54.258
Time - 1'30.435

That is with a DS2 also. I think thats about as quick as im going to get T1 and T2, I think though there is still 2 or 3 tenths in the final sector somewhere, will try find them tomorow. Great challenge Luxy 👍

Here is my Replay, its PAL.

Sorry Niels, I have not been able to access this site for quite some time.

29.224
56.167
1.32.921

I haven't raced this track for so long I don't have very good lines :dunce:

28.231
54.106
1'29.954

I love the car/track combination,nice find Luke.👍

27.784 / 53.551 - 1'29.579 ( DS2 also :p )

Will race some more over the weekend 👍

Well. We'll probably improve a lot more than those other guys. :irked:

I had my third and probably last session:

28.415
54.590
1'30.976

And still having great fun. :D

I choose -20% so that the uphill S after the hairpin would be easy to keep clean,
But its not quite flat though. Or is it...?

28.356
54.444
1'30.892

I can see time in it yet. Now, if only I can grab it...

Nice combo, Luxy.

EDIT: Oh, it is flat....

28.455
54.258
1'30.270

Yeah I couldn't get on GTP because it crashed, anyways here are my times.

T1-28:310
T2-54:347
Total-1:30:774

The car is very fun to drive:), I will try it again to see if I can go faster.

Nice time, James. 👍

That might get me back in the race. The others are just too far ahead. :dopey:

Well another session and another half second improvement:

28.092
53.900
1'30.402

And still some time out there as I almost crashed in the U-turn before the tunnel. :scared:

With all those improvements under pressure I think I'd better post my replay, even though my time really don't call for it.

Nice time Ron.

27.923
53.734

1'29.680

Lost time in all 3 sectors.

I guess with a really nice run a 28 is possible.

I could drive this all day! I love the rhythm this track has. Hitting the second hairpin just right feels so good :D One thing I'd never noticed before is that there's three signs on the inside of the tunnel -- they're great for judging the apex (I'm using the second one ;) ). Is anyone else keeping it in 3rd from turn 1 to T1?

But its not quite flat though. Or is it...?

I can't decide ... If you get the turn in just right, and you're gentle with it, you can keep it off the walls. But if the backend slides at all, you lose a lot of momentum. I find I'm fastest with a little lift ...

0'27.986
0'53.732
1'29.554

I went wide in the first turn, and had to brake again, and had a pretty big slide in the left-right combo after T2, so there's some left in it :)

Some more pics ...

27.804 / 53.428 - 1'29.263 ( got this within 4 laps of booting the PS2 earlier and chased it for nearly an hour but keep stuffing it  ) I think a 1'28 is in my grasp with some luck and a smoother section after T2 ... will try some more laps tomorrow :)

Cheers mate  and no probs there ... this combo is so nice I will be going back many times ;) 👍

I blip in and out of 2nd as I aproach the chicane, gets me in the right direction, however my best t1 is 28.4xx so that might not help.

Thanks for the signs in the tunnel info, that has helped me get a faster speed in the straight.

The "s" after the hairpin is not flat to me.

28.879
55.453
1.32.346

Long way to go. :dopey:

I tried again today, didn't go any faster but I can see the time there. I will try again tomorrow.
And good job on these time trials Luxy:tup:, can't wait for the next one:D.

I ran a final session on this one and beat my old save fractionally at last :)

27.772 / 53.390 - 1'29.183 👍 ... I can still see a 1'28.9 ish if I get a really fast last section but keeping it flat out and in the correct apex's in the last section after T2 is pretty tricky.

Will upload both my QP 1 and 2 NTSC replays tomorrow as it's my day off work and will be sitting on my ass racing all day otherwise :p

Thanks for another cool combo Luke ... bring on the next ;)
Cheers
Ron.

Being Midfield and all, I'm sure you'll pwn us all again 👍

Midfield 2 is not as nice to me as the forward track but should be a nice combo all the same 👍

Wish I could see your replays...

Ask and ye shall recieve :p ... Luckily I ran both quick pick races in NTSC and here's my S2000 replay 👍

Have a dfp, but can only use one hand and lack in throttle control. I still see room for improvement on this time, and I enjoy doing them! Iam still working on Mayfield reverse and Apricot reverse. I am having more trouble with them.
T1-30.219
T2-58.034
Lap-1.37.152

It makes 1-2 seconds difference to me just changing my dfp to simulation setting. Lacking knowledge, equipment and software I can't imagine I will ever be able to submit a replay, but I do scrutinize every replay for mistakes. Anyway, unless I show a drastic improvement I will never be near the top. I do really love doing these challenges, and comparing my times with all you good folks. I am not saying that I haven't already seen some improvments in my skills.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,O.D.D.
