Quick question for the GT vets

Missed everyone, missed the game and forums also.
Anyhoooo, how are we approaching tuning so far? Is what we know from gt6 semi-true or is it relearning everything all over again like after gt5?
I've made a few adjustments so far testing but just to get through the campaign.
