Quick question on which 360 version I have.

I've been doing some extensive searching, and I can't find any way on how to find out which model 360 I have except people saying later models have different parts to the release consoles. As many of you know, my console was replaced and I have no idea when it was manuactured and whether it has the latest parts or not. I know SOME have as it's quieter, but I'm not convinced it's the latest. There are some numbers on the back of the machine, but I've seen no model numbers mentioned on the internet anywhere. Any help?
 
Ummm, there should be a sticker above the ethernet port that displays the date of build, the serial number, and the model number. I was surprised to find that mine was built on November 25, 2005 despite the fact that I bought it a week ago...
 
Oops, my bad. I never saw it because the wireless adaptor was covering it up. :dunce:

It was manufactured 4th October 2005. Funny how they made the console so much more quieter in such a small period of its life!

So it looks like MS had these things stockpiled in warehouses instead of on the shelves when they were getting sold out. Great marketing techniques...

Mine was built January 25, 2006 and I got it in March.
