Just wondering, has anyone ever rolled a car in GT3, or is it even possible???

yea, there is a video on this site of someone flipping an escudo.

stood one on two wheels but never flipped one

thought it was imposible

I watched that video a while ago. It doesn't flip and yes it is impossible.

The Escudo in the video has "escaped" from Seattle (do a search, don't ask). At some points the ground beneath the car just gives up and the car tips backwards (and it's possible to let the car accelerate in neutral backwards to very, very high speeds) leaving the Escudo pointing at the sky. It doesn't flip.

You're allowed roughly 60 degrees of pitch/yaw maximum. I had a Viper Concept hybrid which I tested this all out on - it really ought to have rolled and had plenty of track to do it on, but it hit an invisible barrier and came back down onto all fours...

Yep, impossible. Do you think you will be able to do so in gt4? or damage your car at all?

Personally, I think there's two sides to having vehicle damage. On the good side, it's cool looking and it trains you not to hit the wall on every turn. On the bad side, you'll prolly have to spend money to fix it up and it might discourage some people from playing at all

I have searched gran turismo 4 information on google.com and they said that polyphony is trying hard to let the manufactereurs to let them damage there cars, they said it's a slim chance how ever...

Im sure if there was a damage simulator in GT4 there would be an option to turn damage off ..For people that are new to the game or people that don't want to mess up their nice shiney cars ..That would be cool..

yea, i break thru seattle frequently(i go back to where the jumps are, and fly into the track there and go flying, its crazy) and i was about to do it in my r390 lm race, when i was heading up towards the jumps(its strange out there, you go up an invisible upward slope) well, as i was going up there, my r390 shot up onto its hind wheels and got stuck there. i went in reverse really fast(as to do a wheelie in reverse. sick of these parentheses yet? :)) and flipped my car. i don't really count it as a true flip because of where i was when i did it.

Not possible in normal racing - I've had some big accidents at Trial Mountain over the crest of the hill there past the start finish line where the car's gone right up on two wheels, been sliding and then gone over a high kerb - which in real life is 'instant barrel roll' material - and it just held its angle.
