is there an option on GT3 to get your car a racing modification,or is there none of that on GT3?

Quick question with a quick answer..

No.

Thankfully.

1... it completely wrecks the point of having any LM or race cars
2... 85,000$ isnt worth it for having two of the same cars(would you like to have 2 of the same vipers but one with a bigger spoiler and a worse paint)

i think it was pretty good idea but it shouldnt be available to every car. imgane a dahustu core with rm :P :)

thanx guys, now i remember why i bring all my GT guestions to GT Planet

And why shouldn't people race Cuores (Mira, to our NTSC brethren)?

People race Minis (Mini Se7en series and Mini Miglia series over here are a hell of a lot of fun). Hell, people race LAWNMOWERS...

Famine! You GENIUS! LAWNMOWERS! That is a great idea for GT4! I wonder if you get extra credits if you mow the infield grass after the race?

I don't think it should be available for every car either. Basically, I think it should be more customizable(sp?). Choose where, how big, etc. of the logos; how big the bodykit is, etc. I mean, I would actually like it better if you could buy seperate racing mods one at a time. Buy new sideskirts, new bodykit, new wing, etc. But to prevent ricing, you could only buy the right type of bodykit, wing, etc. We don't need FF cars with FR bodykits in our racing games do we? No...they already ruin our driving experiences!

This is just my opinion, though.

Im' new (obviously) but the racing mod option from the previous games was kinda neat. Like when you mod. the Taurus SHO, it was Mark Martins Valvoline car. But by and large the modified schemes were pretty horrific. Like the modified Solara.

And maybe have better more aerodynamic performance packs for the more experience you have...maybe they should have experience for how many races you've done, and what sort of car you used (eg, underpowered car with a win will give more EXP than an overpowered car with a win)

Well I agree with whoever said that they should have them in GT4, but for every car. I also think that they should cost less.I mean 85k for a body kit and a paint job, and mabey some rims, and if your going to have the RMs then they should also thow in some NoS kits and a
1/4 mile drag strip.

Will you guys please stop trying to turn Gran Turismo into Midnight Club?

I agree. There shouldn't be NOS, drag racing, or paint kits in GT4. That would ruin the GT series. I just think they should have more cars and racing mods in GT4, that is all I want.

Exactly. Not a whole package though...

Actually, I see a strong value in having the Race Modification option. I really liked it in GT2 and hope it will be in GT4.

The RM package gave you a stepping stone between a street-car converted into a race car and a fully blown, built-from-the-ground-up race car. In GT2 many of the 'full' race cars were still faster than a street-car with RM. (try catching the ORECA Viper GTS-R with an RM Viper GTS)

In real life, there's a big difference between a street car that is modified for racing and a car that is purpose built for racing. True GT race cars share almost nothing with their production counterparts. Sometimes just the engine block and production body shell -- and most the time, bodywork that vaguely resembles the street car.

I think GT2 did a good job of reflecting that.
