Quick release VESA Mount?

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a quick release VESA Mount or some sort of solution to easily move a monitor between a desk and a free standing monitor stand?

I would be keen to get a monitor stand to go with my GT Omega Art, but would like to use my current desk monitor until I have the money to go ultra-wide.
 
Where are you planning on putting the monitor? On the wall in front of your cockpit, on a platform in front of your cockpit? Or something else?
 
Won’t be able to attach to the wall, so hopefully some sort of mount attachment that could go both on a desk monitor stand and a free standing one.
