I don't believe it. It doesn't mention anywhere in that auction that it was formerly blue, or owned by Nicholas Cage. That car's different.
Oh but in reality, it is the former Azzuro California.
The man who sold the car from Cage is a member at FerrariChat.
And the chassis number is quite possibly the same as the Azzuro's.

As for the F50, I remember it as well. It was sold to the current owner by Giuseppe when I was still at FoD. I'm not really surprised it's being sold. The current owner has a serious car thing, and obviously has the money to indulge himself.

The paint was done by FoH both times. First for the original owner, for whom the F Factory wouldn't paint it. It was taken back to the original Rosso to improve sell-ability. The paint on the car is almost 'too' nice. The carbon weave isn't as visible as it was from the factory. But boy, does it look good!

I read this whole thread twice and was very surprised no one (especially socal chatters) did not recognize Dan who is selling this F50. He's the guy who has sold many exotics owned by Nicholas Cage. I missed buying a car from him earlier this year. He has since sold quite a few F cars including a very nice 575 6sp, a 360sp, a Gallardo, a DBR1 and I think the CGT.
I am almost sure he deals exclusively with Cage's cars. He seems to be above board and the cars are all low mileage and in good condition/maintenance. I know nothing about this F50 but I think I did see it in photos of Cage's garage in Studio City.

The same post, he couldn't 100% confirm Cage owned, however, pics of the car were taken in front of Cage's home. Later on, OnRamps confirmed the car was sold to Cage.

And the guys at FerrariChat are no jokers.

I didn't believe it at 1st, but a good friend explained it all to me.

Oh ok. Who's your friend?
I don't know 100% but he's seen pics on FerrariChat where you usually have to be a member. But at my other forum, he's Peleton25.
Like a freaking Gordon Murray Jr.

Unfornately, the F50 is no longer Azzuro California.
The car was originally red when built, then switched to this blue color.
Now, I've found out Nicholas Cage bought the car and repainted back to red. :ouch: :ouch: :ouch:
He's now got it up for sell...

SOB wasted a beautiful color.

Believe it or not...This is it. :indiff:

Why the hell would you repaint it back to a boring Red? That blue was fantastic...and the only one like it in the world...so why change it? Now it's just another boring red Ferrari. Blasphemy...
