Following on from my Italian thread, I also require an American car which is not a race modified version.

The track I will be using it on will be the Daytona Road Course.

I will have no restrictions on any upgrades or tyres. The only assists I will be allowed to use are ABS and traction.

Any suggestions?

Thanks 👍

I'd say any of the newer Chevrolet Corvette's, Ford GT40, Dodge Viper's, or that Cadillac Cien Concept if you ever come across it in the Used Car Dealership.

Also, the Chevrolet 2010 Camaro SS, and the Dodge Challenger 08 are great cars if you can upgrade them and tune them right. By the way, all the cars I mentioned, besides the Cadillac, are the Premium versions.

Cien is a beast and it can be won from MR sports cup bspec... its extreemly fast and can be tuned to above 1000bhp

ACR = 1031hp/ But WAY over used. I hate it for this reason.

ZR1 = 905hp/ Is fun to drive but has grip issues mid turn on throttle.

FORD GT = 850hp give or take a couple. Ford got ripped on all their cars it seems.

I comes down to what your using them for really.

It is basically just for one race.

What's the handling like on an ACR?

A car that can do less than 7 minutes on nurburgring with sport soft tires in stock condition, handles like a truck? LOL

Anyway, I'll post my times on Nurburgring and TGTT with americans, seems that my laps with the italians helped you in the other thread :sly:

(I don't have a time with the Vette,I'll try it tomorrow 👍)

As you can see, the three cars are similar in terms of lap time, so I tell you my personal opinion on each car, to help you to choice.

Viper ACR : In my opinion is one of the best road car in the game, fast, EASY TO DRIVE (despite a lot of people thinks that it's like a truck ), obviously it has little wheelspin if you slam your feet on the pedal, but it has 612 HP, so you would expect exactly this from this car. In terms of lap times, it beat the other americans in all tracks I tried them.

Ford GT : Has the best handling compared to the Viper and the Corvette, but has some HP less than the Viper and the Corvette. It's certainly the most balanced car over the three, also because it's MR and not FR like the other two cars.

Corvette ZR1 : It's the most powerful, but the slowest on a track. To me it has the worse handling compared to the Viper and the GT, still is a great car. (i'm not saying is a crap of a car, is just worse than the other two).

Hope I helped!

The reason people hate the ACR is because it doesnt turn. You aim left, it goes straight, unless you are going way slower then you think you should be able to.

These comments are highly exaggerated. The Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR is a great investment. Much cheaper than the Ford GT and Corvette ZR1, faster and the handling is decent. It understeers but not nearly as bad as the Bugatti Veyron, TVR Cerbera Speed 12 or Aston Martin V8 Vantage. After all, this Viper did better than the ZR1 on Nurburgring by several seconds. It even beat a Nissan GT-R by a second I believe.

The ZR1 RM smoked the ACR and the Ford GT is a much better car to drive.

I just dont like the car. Screw Vipers.

The ZR1 RM is a race car, of course it would smoke just about any street car. Anyways, I think the ACR is one of the best cars for the money, and it does handle fairly well. The Ford GT is also a monster.

Yeah it understeers just as much as the bugatti and the veyron and vantage but you just cant notice it because it feels a lot softer and slidy and smooth going into corners so it makes it feel like your going faster.

I actually tested the TVR against some of the best handling cars in the game and it takes corners and nearly the exact same speed with the exception of the few really tight ones where its turning radius and length just dont help :P

I can take the last corner on HSR at 210-220 km/hr in the TVR and even in the Minolta or GT-One or any other Group C / Le Mans car I have I cant manage to go faster then maybe 230 constantly through the whole corner without understeering into the wall. So really it does handle just as good as other cars just like the ACR but it doesnt feel the same

Either way the best car credit wise is hands down the ZZII, Speed wise for American cars is the ACR but the Ford GT is insane too. Was getting owned in my Speed 12 drag racing a GT until I realized I left downforce at minimum to do some drifting, put it back to 60 on rear and I eat Veyrons alive

It sucks how you can't adjust the downforce on the ACR without buying a mismatched spoiler. I can get better lap times on most tracks (aside from superspeedways) with the ACR than my Speed 12.

There is a reason the ACR is one of the fastest cars around the Nurburgring in real life. Only cars faster last I looked were tube frame race cars that barely qualify as street legal.

Although I have to say my favorite american car in the game right now is my 69 Corvette convertible. In a race in the arcade on trial mountain I was placed in a field including: Mclaren F1, Veyron, TVR Speed 12, VW W12 Nardo, Cadillac Cien, etc. The vette easily handled all of them. If I remember right it is pushing around 600 horsepower for around 1000 kgs. Excellent handling, very brisk acceleration, looks great too :)

Might not be the #1 fastest, but I guarantee a good time.

I enjoy the saleen S7, but it can be a while before one pops up in the UCD. Haven't compared it with the above mentions time wise, but it feels very respectable.

ACR is the fastest off the top of my head. One of the better handling road cars too. The Saleen S7 would kill it if PD gave it rear tires though. On racing softs, the S7 is probably number 1. On road car tires, ACR.

Thanks for that, I decided to get an ACR and test it out on the Daytona. Handling did not seem to be an issue on that circuit so think I will go with that. The extra pace also helps a lot too.

Thanks everyone 👍
