Fastest non-super car?

Define a super car for me please.

Also, fastest around a track? Or fastest in a straight line?

With my cobra I've hit 282mph down the mulsanne straight.

Can not be:
nissan
...

You do know Nissan makes other cars besides the GT-R, right?
The GT-R series being the only super car by Nissan, it would rule out many other great cars. Such as, Nissan Leaf, Silvia, Cube and some others.

But, to answer your original question....How about an EVO? It's not a super car. Street legal. Not a Nissan either. And it's 4WD with ~300BHP.

If you consider the Corvette, there is the supercar version (ZR1), but the Z06 is a sports car. So I might lean toward that. Before anyone says it's a muscle car, let me stop you there...the Corvette is NOT a muscle car.

But there are a few sports cars that can hang at that level. RUF has a few that come to mind. The NSX too. I don't consider it a supercar, but some do.

I don't know what is the fastest non-supercar in GT5 but here are some ideas.

Lexus SC 300 1997
Toyota Supra RZ 1997
Jaguar XFR 2010
Jaguar XKR Coupe 2010
Mercedes-Benz E 55 AMG 2002
Maserati Gran Turismo S 2008
Audi RS4 2001
Audi RS6 2002
Audi RS6 Avant 2002
Audi RS6 Avant 2008
BMW M3 Coupe 2007
BMW M3 GTR 2003
BMW M3 CSL 2003
BMW M5 2005
BMW M5 2008

Mercedes SL600 isn't really defined as a supercar, but a fully tuned model will run 270mph+ on Route X.
Now it really comes down to what you're looking for in your definition of fastest - circuit or just hooliganistic top speed, as asked several times here.

Tank car...or Nissan Leaf..
💡

By saying Nissan, you rule out all the Skylines, some of which can can produce 700+ HP when they're upgraded. The Supra RZ and SZ-R both come to mind, as they produce a lot of power.

OK cheers guys
I went with the merc in the end.

P.S: To the people who can't tell what a super car is, Google your way to the answer.

It's an ambiguous question, the term supercar is not clearly defined and there are many different ideas on it lol.
The same can be said for the term hyper car, we all have our own ideas.
I am pretty sure I understand both terms however but you have to define clearly, otherwise you might get things you dont expect lol.

Also you never said fastest in what. Again ambiguous.

Kinda like muscle car:
What years does it have to fit in, or does it?
Does a pony car count?
Does it have to have a V8?
How many doors should it have?
Did it have to be built and distributed in a specific country?
Does anything not count due to rarity or state of tune?

A 1979 Lamborghini Countach LP400S was the quintessential supercar. A 2013 Toyota Camry is a faster car with better handling.

2013 Toyota Camry a supercar?

I have been in a few debates about this same topic. IMHO, any big American car with a decent amount of power can qualify. Corvettes? No. All Mustangs, Challengers, etc.? Yes. But I differ from many when I add in the Chrysler 300 and Taurus SHO. I'm trying to think of any foreign cars that would qualify...Maybe a few BMWs or a Benz or two? Depends who you ask.

GT-R may be a supercar, but I wouldn't say other skylines are supercars with the HP limits placed on JDM cars during their production.

If you ask me I say the Honda Integra DC5. Now before you say no drag cars, STOP! I have a 500PP tune for the exact same car I run 1/4s in yes but... This car can be extremely fast, and handle like a champ.(if modded and tuned correctly) It weighs in at 999kg and puts out a hair under 400HP and can do 200+ in a draft(fast little Honda no?) The only problem is tuning it so it doesn't eat the tires in the first few laps(assuming tire/fuel is on) other than that a good all around, reasonably priced car.

I just received the pamphlet on the 2013 GT-R and it had Nissan's definition of a supercar. I'll edit my post when I find it; but I remember it saying a supercar needs to reach a top speed of 180 and change, a certain Ring time, and something else.
