This + Italian makes me think 458, and the more hardcore would suggest the gt3 version but I can't imagine where the thing in the picture would fit on it, or how it saved the company.

Older than the 458 and not as hardcore as a GT3. Maybe hardcore is the wrong word, 'slightly faster then the original car 'would work

Is the carbon fibre pattern a standard part, special carbon paint or a custom decal?
