Anybody know of a place where i can get cheap bodies. I don't feel like spending $30 on a piece of plastic molded into a car body.

Nice collection there MR_Pushrod  By far some of the nicest R/C's I've seen. I really like the ralley cars.

You ever do some R/C ralley racing?

I did with one of my Tamyia ready to run cars I had a few years ago. I ran it down a dirt road. But I kinda slid it in to the mud and buried it really deep. It took me 4 hours to clean it up. It still run but I ripped a rear tire. I also think I mess the front suspension after I jumped the car off a kicker ramp my friend built. I managed a 10 ft. jump. I shattered most of the body apart but with a tube of apoxy and a roll of duct tape I manged to put it back together.

oh ya I love it. I have like 6 tubes in my R/c parts case. Plus 4 rolls of duct tape.

Same stuff. But my R/C can't hit 200.

I had tape on my old Celica, what was that called? 90mph tape?

i used be realy in to the r/c scene but got out of it 2 years ago (still have my truck though) and now would like to get back into the scene again. anyone know of a fast gas powered rally car that can handle jumps with ease and is fairly cheap

No R/C cars are cheap, unless you buy them used.

bigwhlkid, have a look at http://www.towerhobbies.com and see what you fancy. If anything appeals, tell us and we'll tell you if it's any good or not:)

streetracer, thanks for the compliment, if you thing my r/c's are cool, just take a look at some of the collections the other guys have, they really a re impressive. I do rally some of my cars, the TA-01 Celica in my showroom was up until very recently the car I rallied competitively. I now have a TC3 rally for that, much quicker and with better handling as well!

Dudebusta, just for you, here is a pic of the R32 (top left) along with a couple of my other cars, better pics to come soon! I got my 23rd car today, a Tomy Intruder Adonis. While you may instantly think toy when the name Tomy is mentioned, this is a proper 1/10th racing buggy complete with magnesium alloy hubs and 60/40 torque split unit. I bought it from a kid at a racing club I hadn't been too before for £15 as a box of bits that is only missing an upper deck, the rest being in good condition. This will be restored at some point so watch this space!

I now have a big problem with my car!!!

I put a fully charged battery in it and it won't even go. I checked all the connections abd stuff but I still can't get it to go. I think maybe my battery is either not holding a charge or I blew the speed controller. Can someone please help me out. I can't to the hobby shop til friday or saturday.

Maybe.

Can't I freeze the battery? I know it works when cell phone batteries go dead.

A couple of years ago I purchased a Tamiya Calsonci Skyline GTR. unfortuneatly it is the R33 model which I am not found of, but that is all they had at the time.

It is pretty standard at the moment. Not sure how fast it goes, but honestly I bought it because it was a Skyline GTR. About 6 months ago I happen to go to a flea market and low and behold a guy had an R32 body sitting there still in the package! I snapped it up for $25 NZD or about $11 USD. Still have not painted it as no rear spoiler, bugger.

I am in the process of making adjustable camber rods for it but have not finished them lol. Also going to spin up some custom alloy wheels, and edm wire cut a complete set of alloy gears. Sometimes being a tool maker has it's advantages but time is always against me finishing of the projects. I have programmes ready to go but getting machine time is not so easy. Once I have completed each project I can post them.

You found an R32 body for that little! Lucky git, lol! My Skyline cost me the full Tamiya RRP at £34.99 and you have the R33 JGTC car! I have just bought myself another R34 JGTC shell and have got my hands on the Loctite Zexel stickers to put on it, should look pretty good when I'm done.

streetracer, are you running an ESC or manual speed control?

My first and only R/C was the #58070 Midnight Pumpkin......, built it back in '89 when I first moved to Montana. I stayed up all night, and had the batteries charging while I was building it. By morning, the batteries were fresh, and the machine growled...:D

Unfortunately, I was rather young and too trusting of people. I let a buddy's brother take it home (said he wanted to "try" it before he bought it)

The last I heard, their dad cleaned out and stole all the tools from shop that he worked at, packed up the whole family and skipped town, with my R/C......

I've often thought about getting back into it....maybe when I get closer to retirement...:D
