Well I have a TA-O4 R by Tamiya. It my little toy. I went racing with some of my friend today and it was pretty good on the track.

I have a Altezza JGTC body on it, three sets of tires (2 rubber, 1 foam), a 14 DT motor, LSP SC, and a totally redone suspension.

I fixed it from this summer when I had a little fire with it. So thats all better.

Also I used a speed gun my friend had to clock the speed. It hit 37 mph. I was quite impressed with how well it performed. And the suspension makes it nice in the coner. If anyone wants to talk about anything R/C PM me.

I want to make R/C's from GT3 and play wit them on special courses so the tires aren't eaten up by the rough asphalt i have. but i have a dinky Radioshack Electric powered Vexxor that goes about 20MPH fully charged in a straight line, also a friend made a ramp and did lots of jumps but discovered i was cracking the plastic rims. and also the tires kept on coming off. And a few other scratches from flipping multiple times from bad landing of the ramps.

My RC car garage has dwindled to one (from two) because I'm selling my Subaru Impreza to MistaX. This is my other car (not actually mine -- mine has stock Supra wheels), an MKIV Supra ('Fastest in Pennsylvania'). I won like $800 total racing this in college.

37 mph? Thats pretty good streetracer! Haven't had any of my cars timed but I would so like to. Thanks for the compliments on my cars, I'll get some pics of the rest of my collection uploaded onto the net soon I hope!

M5Power what make shelll is that Supra? Also what chassis are you running, that looks sweet!

How much do these cost in american dollars (the good ones)?

Just got my TL-01!!! Its sweet! Built it all day and drove it tonight. What can I paint my body with? What kinda paint? I will post some pics later!

About $200 for a decent R/C car. The paint you need is a special polycarbonate paint that flexes. I would recommend Tamiya PS colours as I have found them to be the best. It will tell you in the manual which colours you need:)

200 dollars, cool :) (about 350 dollars here)

Nice!

So what body should i buy and what shell would you recommend for me?

As I said to Simon, the Tamiya TL-01 is probably the best car to get started on. It is an easy to build kit with plenty of upgrades avaliable that will do 20mph out of the box. The choice of shell is totally up to you although I do like the JGTC cars!

BTW, here is a pic of my new race car shell:

Yes, get a TL-O1. I got mine on Christmas day and built it that same day. It is fast and the kit took me a a beginner about 5 hours straight to build. Its 4wd and is shaft driven so you dont have to worry about a broken belt. I have a Mugen NSX body but need paint to paint it. I got my whole kit from www.hobbypeople.net and with the controller (radio) and all that it was $225.00 with two batteries, 15 min quick charger etc. So I was RTR right after I built it!:)

I'm looking for a new motor for my TA-04 and I was wondering what would be a good one to drop in there.

I was thinking between a 7-10 turn. Any good brands to buy? I was thinkin maybe Trinity but I'm not sure how they are.

I'm running a 14 Double Turn Reedy right now and its not the right motor for me.

These Massive Trucks Measure 29" long by 12" high. Feature Working Lights, doors, alerm System, horn, engine Throttle Sound, forward and reverse. Also Feature Electronic opening door & Trunk.
-EXOTICAR MAG

Thats what it says. But to bad my sister Smashed the engine with a Hammer Last mouth. Just cause I put her TV plug on her closet shelf. The Car was Battery Powered BTW.

Streetracer, Trinity is a quality brand, I have had their motors before and can say that they are very good. Anything under 10 turns will be ridiculously quick so it is worth spending a bit more for something like the P-94 rather than one of their cheaper offerings as it will be quicker and have a longer life.

Josh, the cars Simon, streetracer and I are talking about are all electric.

As long as we're showing off....... :D

CK Sportswear Mercedes CLK-GTR!

I also have a beaten up Carbon Fibre Altezza LM.
:(

I need to take a pic of my little old car. Although if you want to know what it looks like its a Altezza LM Carbon Fiber body.

Heh,I Got one of those little little ones. Its a Mclaren F1. They look like hot wheel cars with remote control engines in them. Its pretty tight. It Charges in 45 Seconds and does 3 MPH. Thats not bad if you ask me. YES, It has Chromed rims!

YA nascar the TC-3 is really a nice touring car. My racing buddy has one and god damn that thing can out perform my car any day. And I have the better performance parts on my car. Its also pretty duriable, you cant break it.

But I still like my TA-04 R and if I got a new car it would be a TC-3 though.

Nascar, I would disagree! I think the Losi XXX-S is a much better car (no I don't have one, the Escudo is a TC3 rally BTW) being more efficient and (seemingly) easier to drive out the box. TC3 for a beginner though is a bit much, I still reckon the best car to start on is the TL-01.
