Neat, but I was expecting a rally car to jump over the house.

Haha, that would have rocked.

I give the landing a 9.6/10. Would have been 10 if it had burst into flames.

Hah. That guy called up his sponsor, told them he wanted to jump his house, so they sent over a filming crew and he did it.

That's the story, if this is the original house jump video.

I've seen it before, but it's still a rockin' vid. I have a buddy who jumps his gas r/c over his shed all the time, those things can really take a beating.

thats freakin awesome...I've got a friend that has a nissan king cab body on a race style r/c....he can get it to about 70 km/h...he actually drives it in traffic from his neighbours tree house,.,.crazy bastige !

I have a gas 2WD truck that is supposed to do 60 MPH. I got it at a yard sale though and I think they changed the gearset. either that or the engine is screwed up. The fastest gas RC kits come with engines that make about 1 hp and if you put enough into them, given the run out space, they will nudge 100 MPH.

Yeah. My truck would learn to talk and say. **** you Zach. You're a dumbass, trying that.
At that point it would burst into flames. It's an Associated MGT. Anyway, I've jumped it 20 foot in the air and come smack down on the chassis with nothing wrong. :sly:

Well, I give most of the credit to the guy with the controller. Being able to control the throttle well enough to keep the car upright is an accomplishment in itself. Lining up with the jump isn't all that easy of a task either. Insane video, though......

Hah, 1 hp?? ....my friend has a 3.5hp truck (traxxas revo, nothing on it is left stock)
Mine (when I get my new engine) will have around 2.4 hp. 100mph is a little over the top. Almost nothing stock goes over 60mph (with the exception of shumacker cars and trucks (sp?)

Some of the smaller racing engines (the ones that are held to strict guide lines about engine size, and such) can easily push 50,000 rpms

What did he do to the Revo? I own one and I'm looking to do some stuff to it (I want to strengthen the suspension before I do any engine mods, it's already very fast and I can't spend a lot of money on it). Know any where to get good Revo parts?

I would buy aluminum rod ends and shock caps, they always seem to be stretching on me. The stock rims crack easily. I put 60wt oil in the shocks so its not so springy, and if you wanted to make the suspension slighly stiffer you could buy stiffer springs.

The Schumacher cars don't come geared from the factory for 80mph. I think changing up the tranny settings would do it easily. Traxxas's Nirto Rustler came 65mph from the box.

The nitro 4 tec claims to do 60mph out of the box, I own one, and I'd say it does about 60. The Nitro rustler does 47+mph out of the box (it clearly states it on the box, and my best friend owns one, it's pretty quick, but not 65mph quick)
