Ever wonder what it would have been like if the Renault Sport Trophy went to Japan?

    R.S.01 ‘16 one make (Gr.X) - Suzuka.
    Sunday, 24th of May.
    Lobby open 11:40PST - 14:40EST - 19:40GMT

Race 2 (Start time 20:45 GMT) - 90 min endurance - In game track time 18:45.
This is open to all levels of ability. I don't take this very seriously, and neither should you. The main aim is to have good, fun races.

    • Start: Race 1 - Grid with false start check. Race 2 - Grid Start/manual rolling start.
    • Grid Order: Race 1 - Fastest First. Race 2 - Based on previous race results.
    • Boost: Off

    • Play fair.
    • Race hard.
    • No intentional shenanigans.
    • Have fun.
    • If being lapped, do not yield position, or move off line unless safe to do so. It is the responsibility of the faster driver to make a safe pass.

If you're interested, let me know your race number, and PSN you'll be racing with.

    Race 2 start procedure
We'll start with a standard grid start. No false start check. Pole sitter will lead an outlap at a leisurely pace (approx 100kph/62mph) until start/finish line. During this first lap, there's no need to form into two rows. Just don't overtake anyone.

This is to minimise/eliminate rolling start glitches,

I'll have to reject this one. Not only because the R.S 01 gives me PTSD, but also because I'll be shifting my focus to my new gaming PC after planning to move away from online console racing for the last few months.

Unfortunately I won't be able to participate this time. Way too far ahead in my timezone. (it's 3AM for me)

I’ll have to see. It’s early and I doubt the fam would take kindly to me commanding the living room. I need a den :(

I don't think I'll be in this one. If it's genuinely GMT, that's 6am Monday morning. If it's London summer time it's 5am. Either way, in theory I'll be going to work before race end - assuming my COVID test comes back by then and is clear.

With the formation lap, we should all double up at some point in the last sector before going green. The chicane will be annoying but we're going slow. I'd suggest the leader not go green until everyone is out of the chicane.

Can I go on the reserve list please, bit early for me however I love this car so would be fun to get involved.
Maybe if there’s spaces left I could more easily make race 2, especially if you can give it an official start time.

Interested. But just reserve list for now. This is probably a good car/track combo.

Don't think I'll be able to make this one as the time conflicts with the V8 Thunder series. Definitely sounds like fun though so if something changes I'll let you now

I'm interested, the car was fun at Spa and I still have one painted. I'm not sure what I'm doing at the moment but if you still need entries closer to the time I'll probably join the reserve list.

If the Gr.X is like the Gr.3, I predict a lot of spinning at the hairpin.

The Gr.X car drives much better than the Gr.3 car. :)

Gr.X drives more like the Gr.2 NSX. With added stability. Slower. But that's about the best description of it I have.
