Ok, here's a question for you all... Has anyone actually found a colour that looks good on the R35 GT-R TC that isn't black? I've tried everything, but I can't find a single thing that looks better than the default, but I don't want to have the same colour as everyone else. I suppose that defeats the purpose of me asking, but I'm looking for a style of colour that works; I haven't tried the Imperial Green Metallic from the Lotus Carlton yet, that might work but it's so dark that it looks black 99% of the time. I'm at a complete loss here!

Well, I did just try Super Bright Yellow, but I can't help but feel a colour shift paint might work better to compliment the weird purple and grey decals, but I haven't had luck finding anything that doesn't just look weird.

I just saw one, looks like it was painted French Blue

Looked AMAZING...

It was probably one of the fluorescent blues, they look a lot like French Blue, I tried one of those but didn't like it much. Were you viewing it from behind? There's not a lot of the weird decal thing at the back. I realise it's pretty stupid asking a subjective question here, but I guess I'm trying to start a discussion or whatever.

Also, I think I've found a colour... It's Lapis Lazuli. In indirect light it's black and in direct light it's a similar colour to the purple part of the decal. I guess it looks pretty similar to the default, but it's a little more interesting.

Try a blue metallic/pearl paint.. The blue that comes stock with the ZR1 looks awsome..
I think it's the hologram (Rainbow crome or whatever it's called) making some colors look bad. A blue matallic/Pearl should do it.. But not the sky blues.. It needs to be a bit darker and shiiiiny.. 👍

I used the blue polarized that came with DLC and it matches the blue on car very well,
When i get chance ill post a photo.

I used my fluorescent orange on my R34 TC, and...

I painted my R32 TC Bayside Blue, but then suffered a minor breakdown and repainted it fluorescent green.

I personally like Lapis Lazuli. I tried Ultimate Opal Black (or something like that) but felt it wasn't quite not black enough, and Imperial Green Metallic just looked completely black. I tried every polarised paint I had, every metallic and every chrome, and while some looked nice I thought they'd look better on something that didn't have the weird decals.

For me, the R35 needs something dark but more interesting than black, because bright colours just show up the weird way in which the decals are applied. I like it in black, though, but the point is I wanted something different. I'll get photos as soon as I find my USB drive, I think it looks pretty good.

Painted mine in a pretty nice, bright but still warm, yellow (can't remember the name right now). Think it looks pretty cool, might post pictures later.

may i suggest backing up your data on a USB try all the paints you like and when u find the one you want restore the data then paint the car that colour this way you wont waste paints trying to find the right colour :)

I have been just painting it over and over again without leaving the GT Auto menu, then once I'd found Lapis Lazuli I quit with the PS button (so it didn't auto save), relaunched GT5, painted it again then saved it. I did that a few times, actually, until I found the right colour.

i still cant remember the color but heres a link to the color i mean its not that dark i dont know how it would look with decals on it either but its a nice color

That's Millennium Jade something, my Mines BNR34 is that colour. I never tried that, actually, I might have a look.

I had same problem, only colour I found that looked good was silver Chrome, it blended in with the decals a treat but if you don't like silver Chrome then black is the only colour that seems to suit it, I tried for over an hour to find one and only silver Chrome matched.

GT Chrome 005-C

This is this is the best combination for me so far. I am still not really happy with it. I wouldn't mind seeing more photos up.

I used Polarized 008-P, it's silver/purple and blends in fairly well with the graphics. The car is still ugly, though. :grumpy:
