It handles nothing like NFS. For the brief few hours that I've played it so far, I think the physics and handling are the best in any sim I've ever played. I'm actually pretty surprised at how good this game feels.

Yeah, I meant people on multiplayer are trying to corner without brakes, hitting people, ignoring flags, false starting, and doing 200 km/h in the pits.

This game's a blast once you find the right settings for your wheel.
I remember regretting not having an X360 when Race07 came out, as it was PC/X360 only and my PC I had back than was in no way capable of running it.

So glad I got this code and I'm playing it for free now. Sure, the graphics are dated, but aside from that it's one of the best offline sims I've played so far.

I'm only afraid I'll soon run into the limit of competitive AI. Currently running the WTCC '07 championship in a Seat on PRO (AI on 90), and I've done the first two championship rounds on tracks I didn't know before. Result: 1st -1st -1st -7th.
So yeah, I'll need to put AI on 95 or even 100 for the next championship I guess...

Alrighty, I tried all 3. Not bad for free. The graphics on race07 are old school, but the sounds are amazing considering the age. Steering was really unnatural, but I suspect that it could be fixed with some settings.

Try turning Reverse FFB on if you haven't already done so.

The Xbox had Race-Pro, which was alright, but not comparable to Race07.

I've downloaded all 3 games, and earlier today I tried playing Race 07, but the game couldn't be played at all, as every time I pressed the accelerator/brake/any of the buttons, the game would freeze for more than 10 seconds before returning to normal, only to freeze again after another button is pressed. I already had all the settings at their lowest option, but still the problem persisted. Is there any way to solve it without having to upgrade my computer's hardware?

Steering Sensitivity 100% (or maybe it's called wheel sens, can't remember).

Default is 50% and feels terrible with 900° Wheels.

Thank you, I never set the g27 for my pc as its not a gaming system, but these games fit the specs. I will dink with it this weekend and see if I can get better results.

The cars just wouldn't turn, I had to really crank, probably a full turn to make the paddock on Brands Hatch.

Yes, that's exactly what steering sensitivity does. 50% is basically half as fast, means you have to turn the wheel two times as much.

And like Fryto said, the Logitech Software is a must (Logitech -> Your Wheel -> Support -> Downloads). Some games don't even work without.

I downloaded it, haven't messed with it much. Thanks for the help.

Steering sensitivity 50% is linear (1:1) and correct. You have to change the wheel lock in the car set up.

This wasn't the case for me to be honest. I'm using a DFGT. I had to crank it up to 100% and now it feels very natural.
I didn't touch the wheel lock setting in the setup though.

I'm definitely not going to mess with that 🤬 setting individually on every single car and my wheels stays at 900° in the Logitech Software for the same reason.

🤬 because the game should be able to convert that by itself (it's not), I don't want to calculate or try out that stuff all the time.

100% comes close to the ideal values for a 900° wheel, that's why.

EDIT:
And 50% is half as fast as 100%, so...
Also linearity is not defined as 1:1, it can be any constant ratio.

Thanks for the heads up OP, got my copy!

I have windows 8.1 and I have downloaded all the G27 drivers that I could find but I still have no profiler!
The software downloads and installs and my G27 is recognised as a game controller and I can use it but I can't see or adjust the G27 base settings, I can only adjust the settings within each game.

What am I doing wrong?

Nice, I'm a sucker for free stuff and I really like this. I'll download the game first thing when I get home from school.

It's called "Launch Gaming Software Profiler" in Windows, but as soon as it starts it changes to Logitech Profiler. Don't ask me why, but that's how it is.

Looks like this:

And why drivers? The Logitech website only offers the LGS download...

(W8 - 64bit)

Sure you got the right one?

I had downloaded the driver 'lgs510' from various different links and from the Logitech website itself but all I had was the installer, after installation it would just close.

Just tried it again after reading your post and realised that I had to manually select the 64bit version to download, I thought that it would have automatically been the 64bit version when selecting the W8 download!

Anyway, I'm good to go now, got the profiler (although it looks different from the pic you posted) and I'm setting my G27 up now...thanks a million @dr_slump :)

I just bought two expansions for Race 07, GTR, GTR2, and GT Legends on Bundle Stars for under $10.

Ok guys, what exactly is Race Injection? DLC pack? Bought it today. Do I install on Race07?

It's an expansion for RACE 07. Not exactly sure where it would install as I have my version of RACE 07 on Steam and the only expansion I have for it is GTR Evolution. Acts as a separate entity on my Steam Library, but launches within RACE 07.

Right, might reinstall Race07.. again.

Had issues on Windows 7 though, game freezing or not loading when I go into the options menus. Renders it unplayable :(
