Is it legal to cross the white line on the outside of the exit of the 1st left after T1, their is more tarmac over the line and enough room to drop all 4 tires over, is this allowed?
Can you post a screen shot?

I'd say yes because it's not against racing ethic. That's a personnal opinion of course.

What's racing ethic in this regard? It wouldn't be allowed during a DTM qualifying lap, for instance.

(if I'm not mistaken)

We allowed drivers to cross the line there in the WRS, and I'm pretty sure the GT.de database allows it. It would be much simpler to allow it for everyone as it would be much tougher to spot precisely than going into the dirt or grass, and it's not really going crazy or anything by crossing the line for a second. That's my opinion at least.

I can get a pic up tomorrow if needed. It's on the right side of the short straight between T1 and T2, before you go down a long off camber left sweeper into the the 270 degree turn before T2. You'll see it if you do a quick lap there.

If there is a painted border that clearly marks the edge of the intended track, that constitutes the same thing as a rumble strip in the eyes of the rules. So the inside 2 wheels must stay inside (or touching) the track side of the outside line while the outside 2 wheels may go beyond it.

Red/white curbs like rumble strips? Or is there a wider area of red/white curb?

Pictures would be great to avoid any confusion.

I agree. I'm baffled already.

EDIT/ Just saw the previous post with a pic. 👍 Keep 'em coming. :)

The RX-7 racer is just making the transition from GOOD to BAD. If he had kept the left side tires on the red/white strip, it would be GOOD.

This image is a little dark, but this run is GOOD. The car appears to be straddling the rumble strip, with the track side tires still on it.

Definitely BAD. The entire car is outside the red/white rumble strip.

Does this clarify things?

so...we're not allowing gt.de rules....
we should have a general rule on all this, and not something just related to the track in question...
so...or we go (as I would like too) with stay in the road delimited by curb, and lines and don't go beyond them for every track...or we go for gt.de rules...allowing run-off areas, beyond curbs and lines...
but please, let's make something general for every race the same...

That looks like Midfield to me, in the second set of pictures. The Amemiya RX-7 in the top picture (click the link) appears to be running at Autumn Ring, as questioned on page 2 of this thread.

Rico: Go read the rules as clarified in the RULES - FINAL post. I believe they are clear.

That Rx-7 shot is also Midfield at the entrance to the first tunnel. The first Clio picture is inside the first tunnel at Midfield, drivers left. This portion of track has no curbing, just that white line.

none of those pics show the corner in question.

This pic should suffice, if not another person can find a better one.

Both the RX-8 LM shots are legal, because the track-side tires are still on the white stripe demarking the edge of the track. Any farther outside would be considered an Off, though. So the yellow car, that looks like a Volvo P1800 but can't be, is an Off.
