Don't avoid the patch! If you download the patch later, you will have to start career mode all over again.

Anyway, I completed career mode, so now I'm going to spend most my time racing online and completing simulation mode.
 
That will never happen.It doesn't matter if u buy the game now or one year from now,it will be the same.There won't be an updated retail verson.You will have to install the patch anyway.Why do you want to avoid downloading the patch?

I have a 56K as well and it only took a few minutes. You won't regret downloading it.
 
After reading your posts in this thread i think that you won't need a patch unless you plan on playing online with a 56k connection(wich wouldn't work well by the way,you would always have lag and ruin it for others on the server).The patch mostly fixes some bugs in the netcode as there aren't really any bugs in the SP part of the game.
What this all means is that if u don't plan on playing the game online you won't be needing the patch,you will however be driving without a rear-view mirror and the sideways view option as they are both added by the patch.
 
w00tt, RScosworth has this game now, so we will hopefully race each other online! You should join in GTChamp.

My in game name is radicool02, what a surprise and I mostly race V8 supercars and DTM. I'll be playing the game for the rest of the week, because I have nothing else to do.
 
:lol: DTM cars spin so easy. It was great fun! Earlier I was saying we should make an Official GTPlanet Racing Team, we could have our own team championships, and pwn everybody else!
 
I dunno. I think its my graphics card, it does it when I race offline. I reckon I should get a new one.
 
Me and Jack raced online again. It was great fun, though there was much of lag..

We should decide a server name/password combo to use. Then we gtplaneteers could race there..
 
There wasn't much lag for me. The last 3 races were great fun, Nurbergring and Surfersparadice were great!
 
I mean, you warped around the track and it was extremely difficult to try to overtake :D

But Jack and I are gonna race soon, if there is someone who wants to race, game name will be Potatohat and password is gtp.

Hope to see some other racers there..
