Sweet vids. 👍 How's the GT, handling wise?

Improved.

The weight transfer feels more realistic, braking too hard does have consequences, every car seems to have different braking distances (so if you learn a track with one car, the braking points are different in others), FF cars feel even more realistic, clipping the rear wheel on the grass at any speed now results in instant loss of control or spin. Probably more things to list as well.

I'll make a video with an incar view, the standard street tyres and see if that can help show how improved the handling is.

Oops, i'm sure I hit edit.

WMV is the only encodable format my pc can cope with. I'm using a P3 600 to capture, edit and encode these videos.

All the cars feel like the real thing. Ofc I haven't drove some of the cars in the game lol but they just feel like real car, I know how a car should drive and the cars in gt4p drive like the real thing. You need the wheel to truly feel how the cars drive.

It probably the closest you can get with current technology, I mean until they get you into a VR enviroment that can simulate G-Force how much further can just using a pad or wheel go.

GT4:P Ending movie

If you haven't seen this, check it out.

It's awesome and it gives you some idea what PD have to do to make a GT game.

I wanna work for PD.

I want them Gran Turismo Shirts. And I wanna work for PD, and if I do, hell, the PD guys would not understand 1 word I say to them.

 I really, really want GT4 now that I have seen the McClaren F1 reach a top speed of 300 kph(what is that in mph? around 200 or more?). Excellent Videos, Race Idiot! Your driving skills arent too shabby either.

I need a GT fix now.

100kph is 62Mph, so 300Kph is 186Mph.

The McLaren is a joy ride. But I want to drive that Peugeot LMP-900 car.

Is the FINA even in the class of the R390 and GT one car? I mean it's strange how that FINA just dusted the R390 which is damn fast. Or is the AI crappy?

in reality, the Toyota should be fastest of all, then R390, then the McLaren F1 GT-R LT

That is true. The Mclaren should be the second slowest but I bet all this is AI related.

the difficulty setting could of been set to easy not hard? so who knows about the AI till we alkl get gt4 lol

RI does the sense of speed seam greater than what it was in GT3, Like in GT3 it seamed to be going slow in 3rd person view but it first it looked like you were going super fast, is this the same case in GT4P or is it faster, you know what I mean?

After you get used to the change in physics from GT3, you realise that the AI are just driving slow. I have it set on the hardest setting which allows you to race for 5 laps. On the Mclaren video the lap after I stopped recording I clipped the curb a bit too hard and spun the car.

The sense of speed is greater, but after a while you don't notice it.

Second slowest??? You mean third fastest right? The TS020 GT-One and R390 GT1 are very similar in performance, the Fina F1 is slower than both of thoes.

In LeMans isn't the McLaren in a lower class than the GT-0ne and the R390, which were both in the highest class. Well during the years that those cars competed in anyway.

They ran at Le Mans during seperate years. The classes changed. The first Mclaren ran in 95' and won they then revised it to the longtail version for 97'(GT4P car) The Toyota ran in 98'and 99' and is the fastest with the R-390 a ways back on speed. The longtail F1 never won Le Mans, It wasn't as fast as the 911 GT1.

Ahh I see, I can never remember which class is which.

Mybad live, I meant third slowest, sorry about that :O

Hode on, if the GT one car and the R390 were still racing, would they be in the Bentley Speed 8's class? And what class was the 787B car in?

The 787B was a Group C car. Group C had cars like the Porsche 956/962, the Sauber C9/C11 and the Jaguar XJR-9/11, and on amongst others.

The F1, GT-One and R390 are all GT1 cars, but they all raced in different years. The Bentley Speed 8 is an LM-GTP. If the R390 and the GT-One were racing today, they'd be LM-GTP's, most likely.

The F1 is more similar to today's GTS class, actually.

Group C was the awesomes, i'd like to see some more of those cars in GT games, well mainly the XJR's.
So what class did that Courage C60 run in then?
