How long is the ideal OLR?

Drivers! I need your help. I love the idea of running GT Mode race events. Because you can't build a car in GT Mode and race it in a custom Arcade Mode race, or you don't have a lot of options for slecting race length in GT Mode I ask you this question: "As a GT Planet online racer, what do you think is a suitable race length? What is too long, too short? Would you run every week knowing you had maybe even a few hours of racing ahead of you?"

Well I already sit down to hour-long races every week being in the JGTC, so that kind of race length doesn't hold any fears for me at all.
The only limiting factor is free racing time.

I like the idea of a GT mode race series with higher lap-counts where I can stay in one car, get it fettled to my driving style and then just adjust it to the track.

So, that's my opinion.

I'm with Neil as far as series, same car every week. I enjoy races that involve tire and pit strategy, anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours is fine with me.
 
I have no problem with three hours of racing. I'm quite used to it.
 
I don't know about a 3 hour race:scared:, but a hour race would be ok.
Even tho I picked 30 min's.
 
I'd say that I'd enjoy a 30-45 minute race though I do like the JGTC format of just under an hour. Problem is that with such a long race, you can't save the whole replay, and you have that much more to lose if you FUBAR at the end. Of course that's the challenge, isn't it?

A couple of hours is fine with me. It all depends on the series, and what how long they run in the real-life counterpart. But, if a race takes longer than an hour, I'd like to see tire wear and fuel come into play.

No I think it will save a replay as long as 80min's.

I've been racing in the JGTC series for two seasons using an almost empty mem card and can never get an hour replay, and nobody else in JGTC can either, usually between 40 and 45 minutes.
 
So we've had well over a day to throw this idea around. We've heard from our endurance fans and the JGTCers but still, the overwhelming majority seem to like races approximately 30 minutes in length. The thread will, obviously, remain open for imput and voting and the like. However, I will visit less frequently. I think I've recieved enough data to comfortably determine what length races the GTPlanet OLRers will go for.
