Hello,

Well first of all I'm playing GT1 at the moment and never played anything higher than GT4. So bare in mind the fact that I do not know how the race menu's of the later games look like. I'm planning to buy GT7 however.

I think 1 of the most anoying things that changed in the GT series is the actual race menu of the game, so the menu that you get when "starting" a race.

I think the menu in GT1 is perfect, but than things got changed and even left out.

For instance the ability to actually do a "TEST RUN" before qualification and even afterwords. The option to change parts and adjust them after qualification. The option when on the track to skip to qualify or even skip to the race session or go back in the pit.

This are really positive things regarding to gameplay that have been left out or changed to get a better "feeling" for realism. But I really get a BIG anoyance factor instead of more realism !

Also HP limitation should be on all tracks or if there is none that you actually get some compitition !

Thanks and I hope the gameplay becomes better like the old days :)

Hmm, that's even worse, the most realistic driving simulator but no qualification ??? :/

Why would they even think about changing those things in the first place, if you don't want them you can just skip them, if you do want them you use the options. Weird way of making the gameplay better if you ask me.

Maybe the driving is well replicated but as far as the actual racing, it is awful. Not only there are no quali sessions, damage is virtually non existing in career mode (optional when online), there are no penalties so you can still gain a place by using the car in front as a braking aid. Forza is pretty much the same but at least it has standing starts and decent damage. Oh yeah I forgot about that GT doesn't have standing starts anymore except for the xbull bull---- car championship. If you want to try something that resembles real racing have a look at pCARS. It's great it just has very few cars which for some it is a problem.

PS: there are "standard cars" which are old ps2 3d models. Did you know that?

Only rolling starts ? Weird changes if you ask me ?!Is it a wheelchair or car contest ?

The no damage and no panalty I already new, but like you already stated I like the game the most because of the enormous amount of cars and tracks and the ability to upgrade and adjust your cars.

I can live with the no damage/penalty's but hey maybe they will improve it further.
