Race Replay to console storage?

Sorry if this has been answered before, but how do I save an existing in game race replay to console storage on PS5?

I was looking to do some editing in Share Factory and can’t work out how to do that.

The replay files are not video files, it's data to recreate the race within the game.

You have to record the parts you want to include in your video using the "share" function, and then use those recordings in Share Factory.

As far as I'm aware, if you want to keep race replay data and also free up storage space, you'll need to Share the replays within GT7's Showcase feature (upload to cloud) and then delete your original data from "My Items" (saved locally).

This is what I have done with thousands of saved races over the years.

I don't think you can transfer the raw data to an external storage device, unfortunately.

Anything that says to upload to the cloud.

It doesn't say upload to the cloud; it says "Share":

you'll need to Share the replays within GT7's Showcase feature

Of course.

Main Map Screen -> Showcase -> My Items -> (select item to be uploaded) -> Share.

It will prompt you to give your content a title, description and optional tags. All of which will be searchable at a later date by anyone including yourself.
