From my experience, I'd say that the French Canadians are far more likely to have a problem with English/other Canadians. Last time I was north of the border, every public roadsign in the country was in both English and French... except in Quebec, where they were only in French. I don't know if it's still that way, but that's quite an attitude to cop.Originally posted by PunkRock
I'm a FRENCH Canadian, and if that's a problem to you, **** off.

It may not be an actual "problem", but it does represent a certain snobbishness on the part of French Canadians that strongly reinforces the "lame and ridiculous anti-France crap" you're upset about. The whole rest of Canada goes out of their way to include and accomodate the French Canadians this way, just to be snubbed when they visit Quebec? That doesn't say very much in favor of Quebecois.Yes, they're only in French. Is that a problem? I don't think so. A stop sign is a stop sign, no matter if "STOP" or "ARRET" is written on it. Same for speed limits and the likes.
I understand. But please consider my point above. And I was referring to all that lame and ridiculous "Anti-France" crap that's been in the air lately.

Naturally, you came to Va to cure yourself, at least of the Berkeley-ites. I hope we are helping.
