GTPlanet, with many of the championships coming to a close, here's your chance to honor the champions of racing series worldwide. Whether you want to honor Michael Schumacher, Valentino Rossi, or whomever, now is the chance to honor the champions of this year.

So who would you like to honor for their performance this year?

I can't help but say Michael Schumacher, he has clearly outclassed the rest of the F1 field. Also Kimi Raikonnen has shown flashes of excelence in between engines blowing up and wings flying off.

Sebastien Bourdais from ChampCars is definatly a driver worthy of recognition and so is the rookie A.J. Allmendinger.

I think Greg Murphy/Rick Kelly is a real champion for winning the Bathurst 1000 this year. Todd Kelly was really cruzin' in the Holden Racing Team car, so I honor him too.

Like Blake I can't help but say Michael Schumacher, hes done well all year, except for a few races. But with out his crew he'd be nothing so I honor him and the crew who helped Michael along the way.:)

ROssi 👍

No fight.
Winning the Championship on a new team, different bike(most prolly not the fastest) the first year makes him the champ.

I think Daniel Pedrosa is worth mentioning. His first year in the 250cc class and he became champion. It's like a 2nd Rossi.Just blazing thru the competition.

I'm going to holler at Sebastien Loeb and Citroen for the French trifecta:
French driver + French manufacturer + French rally = and World Rally Champion

You can't do any better than that. It's a trifecta you have to love. They may not be essential, but nice to see that you're patriotic at least.

Yes, Loeb is a good driver. It is an annoying trifecta for me (I have problems with the french) but still he's a good driver and you can't take that from him.

A big WG thumbs up to Andy Priaulx for winning the European Touring Car Championship in the BMW GB entered 320i. Also to James Thompson (Vauxhall) for nicking the BTCC from Yvan Muller. May they both win races next year in the return of the World Touring Car Championship in their BMW and Alfas respectively.

As much as I dislike the Audi R8 for winning all the time, I have to give a big thumbs up to the newest member of the "Multiple Times Le Mans Winners" club, winning his 6th Le Mans 24. I also want to commend Audi Sport Japan for their efforts as well.
