Empire Arcadia presents.
V-Clutch Championship

A premiere racing game tournament held in New York City’s Neutral Ground.
Games are as follows:

TOCA: 2
Sega GT 2002

The Place: Neutral Ground (122 W 26th st., 4th fl. 212-633-1288) on 26th st. and 6 av.
(transportation: take the MTA 1 train to 28th st. or the N/R train to 28th st.)
the Time: 2pm (12-1pm are for entrée times).
Entry Fee: $7
You can bring your own wheel, controller, games etc. Plus, there will be casual play as well going on during and after the tournament(s).

We're are trying to collect as many people as possible. Unfortunately, as we know that it's on the 4th of July, we want to be sure beforehand; before we post up the tourney info. You can check out our site right here.

The final decision will be done tomorrow for the 3rd title on the PS2 roster. Being that there are way too many racing titles for the Playstation, it's the most difficult to finalize. Again, we apologize for any misunderstandings.

Oh, my apologies. You're one of the SRK groupies. I should've known. So, I have to stoop lower to see you and your skill. Oh well. You aren't a true racer then. Stick to your broken fighting games like CvS 2 and MvC2. You and your low-tier Skyline can be owned at will by anyone else, just remember that. Not by Empire....well, us too but that's besides the point. Continue playing your fighting games for you are just nothing more than a random clown. :lol:

Actually, I've been playing Gran Turismo before any other game. I don't take SRK seriously, I'm only there for my bodybuilding thread. It's just funny seeing vague and shady posts by Empire members, not answering questions about their activities and reguarding funding.

I'm pretty sure you're sending out a positive message about the Empire by calling people names and such.

And actually, I will be there. I'd like to see you say what you just said to my face.

Ah, forgive me then. So, it's nice to meet you. The name's Mirage. My question would be are you going to enter the Tourney or are you going to watch and expect me to mouth off. I had you figured as one of the frontline morons of SRK that relay hate towards us through that website. My apologies as treating you as one of them. Now I have only but one personal question: "What has the Empire done to make you this hate-filled towards us?" We've done nothing but try to expand, and hate comes at us in all directions. I'd like to see it from another's perspective, just so that I can understand.

Or you could take a different approach and beat me at the tourney on the 11th, then answer my question as a spit to the face. It's not a direct challenge, but I need the comp, and I'm quite sure you do too. (Hence why I drew you out in such a manner.)

(BTW: If I may have offended you in any way, I apologize. But, The Empire isn't as what you see it as. In more ways than one, it's actually quite organized. But it would be up to you to figure that out and ask. No disrespect.)

Because you came off as a prick. You mouth off to some random person on the net, then when you find out who I am, you're the most polite person in the world.

Okay. MAYBE I did come off as some random ass. Fine, then I'll do something that I don't normally do. I usually mouth off as a form of pre-tourney trash-talk. You aren't the only one to get that from me. I sent the same post to 16 other people as a Private message. If you took it the wrong way, yo dude, I didn't know you'd get like that. ****, they just fired back at me with even more cosmic remarks. And your stature (No offense) is the same as anyone else that either I play against, or play with. Even If I didn't like you, or your driving style, when you/if you beat me, I'll still shake your hand. It's just plain simple. This isn't a random Empire act, it's just the way I PERSONALLY PLAY IN TOURNEYS.
 
I really don't understand how your own members can take you guys seriously. If you're going to start tournaments and ****, do it in a polite way, not some assholeish way where you mouth off to people you don't even know. I'll make up my mind about the Empire at the tournament.

You know what, I'll leave this issue as such: I'm hoping that you show up and see Empire Arcadia as not your enemy, but as future challengers.

But me on the other hand, I'm hoping that you show up just so that we can play against each other and show you how I play and treat others during and after a race against any rival. Not just you. You can see this as me being an asshole, but we do whatever possible to see most people get the right perception of Arcadia. But when you show up, I'll play against you as myself, not a member of the Empire. Of course, they'll be there, but I won't pay them much mind at all. You are pretty much my mission right now. I wasn't going to take this tournament seriously, because I'd be seeing the same faces from Florida's last tournament. But this tourney is Empire's racing sector's first sponsored tournament. And I wasn't going to pay it much mind. But as respect to both you and my unit, I'll personally give you my best. Or is that too much to ask?

And one better, I will personally apologize to your face either before, or after our race. Until then. Thank you, and I meant not to offend you. (Seriously)

No seriously guys, we're all here for fun n' games. After all, that IS the point, right? We really would love to see our fellow GT brothers/sister show up for the tourney.

BTW: we don't deal with SRK. At least I don't. I leave that to the other divisions by themselves; including their business dealings (for which I don't see were the inherent problems are. It always looks different from the outside-in).

The Empire is all about family and community. The core thing that is missing and has been missing from this industry since the death of the arcades for many years. We're aiming to bring everyone together and competiton is just a part of it. Forgive my colleague (as he's said as well). I come to GTPlanet religiously and would love to see the core GT'ers enter the tournament; whether I win or lose.

what are the fees to enter and what are the prizes?? i'll also be needing format or, if you prefer, everybody can just walk in there stone cold. it makes no difference to me. i'm always down for a little competition in the gt3 arena ;)

but i do need to know what is up with this before i burn my sunday going down there.
 
I didn't realize the 11th was a Sunday. Sorry fellas, but church takes priority over games. I'm a choir member, and there's no way I'm getting out of church before 2 (which is in Queens). I was hoping to have some fun. Anyway, feel free to PM me if you guys have another meet in NYC.

Sorry about all the **** I started BTW, hope everythings cool.

(Try to have tournaments on Saturdays or something, it'll just be more convenient).

The more people that come to the tourney, the better. We need all the players that we can get.

Besides, I need for everyone who is going to attent to sign up on this thread if possible. This way, we can comprise a list of core member who will be joining the tourney and we can prepare accordingly.

I've been running around so much, I completely forgot to give that info.

Okay, we will have mem-card battles, but NO illegally modded vehicles allowed. This means, no xtra boost cars and no hybrids. Races will be 2 out of 3 on sudden death (1 lap sprint) OR 5 laps generally. This can be decided by a coin toss before the participants' races.

We are also going over the rules of the Drift Challenge, so we need you guys' n' gals' feedback on how we can effectively accomplish this for the future (we have less than 6 days, people!!!).

Our main track concentrations will be:

Midfield
Laguna Seca
Appricot Hill
Tokyo
Seattle


Oh...and there's the STRONG possibility that Concept Tokyo will be here as well *exclusive info to this site only*, with hopeful i-Link support (BTW: just in case, bring your own consoles and or links for insurance. We WILL have our own, but like I said....just in case).

The Pot comes from the earnings:

1st place- 60%
2nd place-20%
3rd place-10%
