I've got an ageing MacBook, mid speced, what you need is a copy of "bootcamp" or similar, I have used bootcamp for 2 years now with no issues so I'll recomend that as it's also free! Sorry if at this point I'm teaching you to suck eggs......but basicly, get a copy of bootcamp and a copy of say Windows XP.......right basicly bootcamp will partition your HDD and stick windows XP as a second OS. so basicly your macbook pro can either use OSX or Windows. The mac will simply be a windows laptop when selected........right you know the rest, I run various racing games on my macbook in windows mode, I even have my DF-GT wheel pluged in. Best way to find what games your graphic card setup can suport is simply to download the demo and try it first.
Bootcamp can be obtained for free from macs own site, it's free and as I've said I've had no issues with using it over the past 2 years, that includes simply web browsing to running windows software that controls MRI and CT scanners..........every macbook should have this if only to confuse people when they see the windows loading screen LOL and again sorry if this is all a lesson in sucking eggs.
oh yeah, and instalation of bootcamp is very simple, it asks you how big the partition you want to make for windows then it dose the rest, all the drivers are included and install automatcaly, I've not had any hardware config issues with the windows os and apple hardware, finaly bootcamp will work on any pentium based mac.
