Hi, im new there, but im following GTP since GT5P :) recently i have bought one of my dream cars - Diablo. I've red about its dificult handling in this forum, adjusted settings by recomendations, and must say, its very fun car to drive :) difficult though.. then i put RH tyres on it, and i was very surprised, how it drives with "better" tyres :/ i felt i was on ice sometimes. Tested it on some tracks. For example - on autumn ring mini my lap times:
tyres RH 40:374
tyres SH 40:861
tyres SS 38:837 !
Is this normal, or is it me? racing hard tyres are gives worse grip than sport soft, in High Speed ring i spin i very first corner with them, unless i drive really slow.. btw, the car is upgraded and tuned. The wheels are original (cant imagine that car with any other :D)

Yeah that's normal.

Street cars seem to handle like 🤬 on racing tires. It could be PD's way of punishing those who used Racing Softs on all cars in GT5.

I made the same experience with the Diablo and also with the Ruf RGT.

When I switched through the tire categories I noticed a break in of my lap time when I changed to racing tires (slicks).
It took me about 3 laps to get back to my lap time with sports soft and another two laps to get faster.

Still RH are faster than SS. Cornering is far better because of more grip. GT6 lets you feel that quite good.
BUT: Slicks have a reduced transition band when you push the car over the limit. That results in a higher risk of spinning out.

Compare that to real life:
Driving on slicks doesn't make life easer on the track. It make's things much more challenging.

You are right, with RH grip is better, but it owersteers imeadetly, without a warning. Too intense racing with them for me :) Sport tyres are much more forgiving. But thats just for the MR cars?

But thats just for the MR cars?
Haven't testet FF and FR cars with RH yet, only MR and RR so far.
One other thing: Make sure not to fit custom rims to cars with different tire widths on front and back. Currently there seems to be a bug when fitting custom rims. The back tires get the same width as the front tires. For a car like the Lambo GT2 that's quite a negative change for the driving dynamics (besides for drifting perhaps...:)).

Testing it right now in brands hatch,
with Racing Hard tyres is a raging bull but with the Sport soft goes like a dream
(only ABS at 1, no custom rims, default settings)
