Racing stripes after paintjob?

Can i keep the racing stripe and body stripe on my ford gt if i give it a new paintjob?

Wrong section mate Should go in the GT5 section, this is was the tuning forums. And to answer your question, yes.

PS, if the colour you're respraying it with is a dark colour, the stripe is white, if it's a bright colour it automatically becomes black.

This actually came up a few days ago - it depends on the car. The Ford GT will keep it's stripes - a C5 Z06 or Viper (of any vintage) won't. And the colour the stripes turn is also sort of tricky: I've painted a Ford GT both Taiga Metallic and Frash Green, fairly similar colours in game, but the former gave me white stripes, the latter, black.
