1. It can be a fun easy to meet like minded drivers to race with and compete as a team against other teams or groups.
2. Check out the online forum for teams. They need to be looking for members and you should look for a team who seems to fit your driving style and what you want out of a team.
3. I'm sure someone needs or wants you, its just a matter of finding the right fit.
4. Benefits can be finding and making friends through the game. Close competition. Learning to be a better driver through tips and techniques of others. It can increase your enjoyment of the game. Some teams could require time commitments that may be difficult to meet if your time is limited.

I'm not in a racing team unless you consider the WRS a team. Only you can answer if you should be part of a team. Best way to find out is checking out the GT5 online sub forum, meeting people and seeing if they are a fit. I how that helps and I'm sure other people have good answers for you.

It can be good... but I'd recommend using an organiser that lets you set up or close your own teams at will.

I'd particularly recommend ,<removed by mod> (of course) but there are plenty of other organisers out there doing pretty much the same thing nowadays. They're less restrictive than 'teams' per se...

Yes , teams can be a blast, and you can make some good friends as well. I joined one about a year and a half ago and having fun still. <removed by mod> the team and to give you a clue RIP stands for racing is percision. We pride ourselves on clean racing and close compitition, but we are all friends first. Check out the forum its nice and discribes our events and practices. They do have a code of conduct to weed out the drivers who are out only to crash . There are a lot of great teams out there. But only join if your truly serious. Most teams like to have fun but are all serious about winning.
