Anyway, on topic, I don't mind if people want to keep their rooms for people who are likely to have less laggy connections, and for people they will be able to communicate more successfully (mostly in open mic rooms), and want to boot out others because of this... but there's no need to be rude or offensive in doing so. And people don't have to be racist to be idiots, I've heard as much of people just being generally offensive as I have racially orientated abuse, but then I don't go online that often.

Report option, in my eyes does not change anything, because I'm just going to signal to them, and they will have to take some action related to the case ... ie it will take some time to sony see the case, and if they happen to take a stand on the issue.

Already blocked list, is more immediate! after the kik, you can block the user, you yourself.

Sony will suspend/ban the accounts in case of clear racist text messages (XMB, not in GT6). You can count on that.

While we talk about reporting: it's outrageous how facebook doesn't give a 🤬 about racism.
There are hundreds of groups against black people (for example) and they don't do anything.

After each time you report clear racism in groups, comments or photos, they send you a message:

"Thank you for taking the time to report something that you feel may violate our Community Standards. Reports like yours are an important part of making Facebook a safe and welcoming environment. We reviewed the Page you reported for containing hate speech or symbols and found it doesn't violate our Community Standards."

However, their Community Standards clearly state under Hate Speech:

"Facebook does not permit hate speech, but distinguishes between serious and humorous speech. While we encourage you to challenge ideas, institutions, events, and practices, we do not permit individuals or groups to attack others based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or medical condition.

So they can get away with the "humourous speech" excuse. Unbelievable.

Being portuguese I'm the first to criticise most portuguese players I see online. Most are just..ricers. That issue probably affects the GT community in general (me included) and much easily I have almost zero tolerance at them when hosting as opposed to a LOT of tolerance to other nationalities. I never felt "racism" online. Only friendly banter and a lot of the usual terminology (you know the words). I have GT friends from all over the world. On my lobbies (and the lobbies I usually join) it's UN territory . Not rare to see 2 portuguese, 2 italians, 1 spanish, 1 german, americans, australians, dutch...etc etc..."strangers" that join always get astonished at the amount of diferent flags there, and I gotta say, I love it. I love that feeling that playing GT6 (in this case drifting)is in itself an universal language, with universal rules.
On the downside, and even though I have several French PS friends (cool chilled people), from my experience, French are the ones that kick the most, withouth a single word. Even yesterday, joined a French lobbie (had a couple of friends there). 5 mins. Kicked. No warning, nothing. Mind you I'm not exactly a noob on GT and track manners is something I demand from everyone, including myself so that...is out of the question.(One funny story is got kicked out of french lobbies only due to my initials on the PS name "FN" wich are actually my name initials ! Turns out FN isn't exactly a very cool thing in French)
Portuguese lobbies; don't join unless it's from friends. Chaos and rice all over.
German lobbies, I don't even join. I feel they "tolerate" the other people.
Aussies also have a tendence to avoid other countries.
BUT, having said all this, my daily struggle (in life as well) is to NOT GENERALISE. I have great GT friends from all over the world. I have this saying that I'm in fact a racist person; I hate the race of stupid and ignorant people, whatever country or nationality.

As for the Lag/ping issue...there's NO EXCUSE for kicking people due to this. I mean..there is, only if someone is lagging and doesn't leave when asked. As a matter of fact, there is no excuse for kicking for no reason at all or without even a single warning or word.

Honestly racism is actually quite an issue on GT6 which is just straight up dumb. Why should somebody be judged because of their flag? There is no reason. You can't judge a book by its cover. We need more people to host lobbies titled "All welcome fun races" I'd like to join one someday.

Not everyone has a great internet connection and can't connect well with specific regions. Some people want to use mics or communicate only in their own language. Some people just want to hang with their fellow countrymen. There are lots of legitimate reasons why someone's flag might be important.

I got kicked out of many lobbies. Why ? Because I have the UAE flag. So they automatically assume I'm one of those Arabs who ruin everyone's lives for no absolute reason.

One of most racist thing is when they spot an Arab flag, even thought my main ps3 (yes i have a different ps4 account with ps+) account isn't an arab. I hate people who think "hmmmm.........Arab people are Evil, terrorist...etc" with bad thing they believed in some stupid media and "oh they boom them self...etc" or "they hate anything other than them self's" and then irony i spot a lot of Europe, NA people in some places in Arab country's especially UAE.

I live in arab country too and i spend more time online on playing in Europe lobby's than..... Some SA players goes drifting on the Fuji track that i don't understand what it is other than just Powersliding on the straight of the road instead of on corners (even thought i'm near SA).

The only way to do i think is to use mic to prove you aren't one.

I usually kick Spaniards from F1 and GT6 lobbies, but I always give everybody 1 race to prove they won't vault someone off at T1, HOWEVER 99 times out of 100, Spaniard in question will do just that, and get kicked.

Whatever the reason for this is, I am not a racist, I am not against Spaniards, but when one joins carnage ensues, and they get kicked. (Which for me is odd cos real life Spanish racers - Alonso, Gene, De La Rosa were usually exceptionally clean (if not always fast).

It is not racism that makes me kick them, it's that the Spanish flag 9/10 times brings with it dirty driving, and as host I would be allowed to kick anybody who doesn't drive clean. Stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason, they develop because they are true in a majority.

Like I said, I'll give everyone a chance, but the results speak for themselves, it's not just Spanish btw, my own nationality can be just as bad, however usually (9/10) a English speaking guy with a mic is clean, and therefore they stay around lol.

Race/nationality or not, don't be a dirty b*****d and you'll keep your place lol.

I don't get any racist comments based on nationality because my country is unheard of in most parts of the world. Most people assume I'm Polish or even Monegasque because of my flag, particularly those in Europe and North America (I even lie about my nationality sometimes too for fun).

But sometime ago my friend who lives in where I am but apparently uses a KSA account for playing was hosting one-make lobbies when he was disconnected and the host was replaced. He wanted to tell the new host what to do next but they just override the entire lobby settings and said some mean things about him based on his flag. Since then he's been hosting fixed-host lobbies now.

Other than ping latency playing the part of the kicking, I do think most racism on GT's lobbies stems on the country flags. Maybe next time I should make one from Greenland (yes they have PSN support there).

I like it when you join a lobby when a race is in progress, spend 100,000s of credits tuning your car up for the race, you wait for 10 minutes for it to finish and once it does your are immediately kicked because your nationality is different to everyone else.

Wich comes to confirm several people's theory then...it's not about the skills or track manners, maybee...MAYBEE..it has to do with the way they perceive your flag/country ?
(Mind you I have cool French friends on most of their teams; RedZoku, NOS, SmOking...etc. But those that aren't my friends will kick me without a single word of warning 95% of the time. And I'm quite sure its not just me)

If you're referring to the lobbies that I've removed you from, that's irrelevant from nationality and race; registration is still open, but also necessary. I've had enough of non-GTP'ers joining and causing chaos. I didn't realize you even were on GTP.
