Racism in certain lobbies

Certain lobbies I have joined have kicked me out just because of where I reside. I was once kicked out of a Japanese lobby BECAUSE I LIVE IN THE USA!!! I am actually Japanese. Another time I was kicked from a European lobby. He even said "Bye, Murican.". Racism should be punishable. Post your thoughts about it or any experiences you had with racism.
A race is primarily defined as a specific physical resemblance that the race has. Citizens of the USA do not have a specific physical resemblance defining them from others. So it might not be racism.
Also racism is not necessarily wrong or illegal, it's a point of view either philosophically or factual. Discrimination, based on race is illegal such as in terms of employment or services requested in business.
I think discrimination should be the issue that is important as this means it is unfair and prejudicial.
Racism can be fair, just and logical. Racial discrimination usually not so.
I wouldn't call geographic location based behavior discrimination in itself as it might be fair. In terms of overall communication or quality of game-play.

If someone kicks you because of your nationality what's the problem. Would you really want to be in a room with people like that?

I don't think its racial as such but I understand to a point that people want to create rooms for example Aussies and NZ only room etc... I think its just the language barrier I've noticed its the same with Spanish online players Japanese players etc... im not racist but I no it is difficult to chat to someone who speaks another language me as I don't have a headset of any kind I welcome anyone from any country worldwide. however I do think it is ridiculous that people that play online does kick someone just for being in different countries we all have a right to play online I cant remember exactly its been a while that I've been on GT6 or PS3 for that matter cant you also make private lobbies? and if so I think instead of creating public lobbies it'll be easier for people to also make private lobbies if they don't want other people from different countries that speak different languages and just play online with friends that speak the same language as you im not saying that no one should make public lobbies just those people who consistently kick other people out that are in different countries. me personally I am against racism as there's no room for it anywhere

Actually you don't have any "right" to play online in my lobby. I am the lord and master of my online domain same as every other lobby host. My lobbies are dictatorships not democracies, unless and if I ask for input. Otherwise, what I say goes. My lobby, my rules.

Because PD doesn't give us the ability to include all the restrictions we need, sometimes we need to communicate. Like, "No racecars please" for example. If you don't answer, I don't care if you're from Canada or Lichtenstein, you're outta there. How often does this happen in rooms where we don't speak the native language of the host? If I don't speak German and the host is typing, "keine Rennwagen bitte" (no racecars please) while I race around in my GT500 car, how many of us assume he's racist because he types, "Auf Wiedersehen Johnny Canuck" before I get booted? Racism isn't as black and white as we think it is sometimes, pun intended.

If someone in an international lobby doesn't understand a few simple english spoken and written words such as "please no racecars" I would kick them immediately. You don't understand it? Go back to school.
(Yes I'm especially looking at you citizens of mainland China )

If in the same kind of lobby, the person who wants to announce restrictions (along with his fellows) doesn't do it in a language than everyone could understand (english), I think he/she/them should quietly leave with the tail between the legs.

I've had endless amounts of grief from both French and Spanish players who will just kick players out for being foreign. I really hate the premise of 'X-Country ONLY' rooms as surely the point of online gaming is to play with people all over the world... I enjoy rooms the best when they are really diverse and everyone is contributing fairly.

You also see a lot of nationalistic siding over incidents. One recently that involved me was in a GT3 room at the Red Bull Ring. This French chap was getting a bit aggressive with me racing for I think 4th or 5th in a decent race, but there was no real issue there as there were no real transgressions and we were both fighting hard. Good racing I thought, but after that race finished he was moaning to his friend the room host and me about me 'driving dirty', which is something I just do not do. I explained to them that I had enjoyed what I thought was hard but fair racing, and nothing comes of it. The next race starts and surprise surprise the same chap is alongside me going into the downhill braking zone after the turn 2 hairpin. He completely messes up his braking point trying to outbrake me and is extremely close as he goes straight off... it feels like there might have been a touch but nothing that would've contributed to him going off as he'd already messed that up. I see in my rear view mirror as I power out of the corner that he has immediately quit the race and has got straight onto his mate telling him that I knocked him off, and voila I'm kicked just a few seconds later... all because I'm British and they were French.

I've never had any real problems with German players, probably because I'm good at German having lived there for nearly 10 years... but France and Spain really seem to have a xenophobic element to their players and it's very rare to find a player from these countries who attempts to engage with the rest of the worldwide player community on Gran Turismo. British players seem to get a lot of flak from other Europeans but I'm not sure where that comes from...

Well I choose rooms based on their regulations, tracks and grid size, not nationality so what the people are like really doesn't matter to me as long as they race fair. That's what we're all there to do really aren't we!?! Chatting to and messaging other players is just a secondary thing for me, something to help explain things that are going on and to discuss events within the room.

I only host, never join. This ensures that my group are trusted drivers on track and I'm the one controlling who's kicked. And the kicks rarely happen and are only due to rude people / bad drivers. We get joy out of challenging people from other countries, made lots of friends that way :)
