so, the old rad in my firebird is needing replacing. of course if i was in america i could probably get a cheap one from a scrappy or anyone breaking, quite likely i imagine. alas im not and asking around a new one here would cost £300ish.
the guy suggested possibly getting one custom built for that much (pro-alloy, serck, alimax etc.) prices from them are reasonable but still more, plus most of their custom is from motorsport that can spend big cash on fancy set ups. i dont need bells and whistles, i'd settle for a straight replacement single core. the other option is lifting one from a different car, a similar size radiator to drop in, with pipes in the right place, dont really want to have to adjust too much.
a standard one looks like this, gm had this great idea of making the rad for the v6 different to the rest
anyone have ideas of cars with a radiator that is similar to this? its around 28" by 18" but there is a bit of room for slightly bigger. top hose on the right and bottom on the left would be ideal, and oil cooler in it.
