Rainbow Colored Line Right Before Carousel

Does anyone else see this? There's a rainbow colored (multi-colored) line on the ground, leading up to the Carousel (Karussell) on the Nurburgring.

Thought it was a glitch and just shrugged it off, however, after loading another event it was still there.

Never saw it before. Did a search and didn't come up with anything. Anyone else having this happen to them?

Edit: All right, looks like it was only there for the two AMG Special Events with the 300SL (in dry conditions; haven't done the wet events yet). Doing the tuned SLS AMG events (dry conditions) right now and the colored line isn't there.

Yes, it's oil where there must have been a spill somewhere to make braking up to Karussell trickier.
 
I was playing online at 24-hour track yesterday and saw that rainbow line too, never saw it before the latest update...
 
I wanna see this Rainbow Line. :lol:

Although, I imagine it's a bug.
 
Saw it online last night a good 200 mtrs lond and very slim.


Oil on track PMSL.
 
Drive to the other side if it you might find 20,000,000 credits in a pot

This exact same thing happened to me when I went back to Gold these events :lol:
There is also a slight graphics glitch on one of the PD Logo signs on Monaco, the one at the right of the chicane after the tunnel, its very small and only appears when you get near it, but I definitely dont remember these happening before 2.02 :dunce:
 
i also get this too but is it me or have they put some new writing on the track there? if so that could be the reason why

I noticed it last night for the first time. After seeing it several times I came to the conclusion it must be a bug or glitch of some kind. It is very odd and can be distracting if you let it be.
 
I noticed a brown vertical line dead center on the screen as I was driving up on the straight Toward the Carousel, I thought it was a rip of the Space-Time Continuum, sadly, it closed up before I could enter it.
 
Are there any pics of this around here or do I have to wait until I get home tonight and drive the ring until it appears? :p
 
i've seen it too since the update, one time online it was rainbow and another offline it was just a black line almost as if you could see through the track, it happens randomly and sometimes isn't always there, weird.
 
Happen to me last night. Thought it my game though.
 
It's a bug, I get a problem earlier on the track with a huge black line sticking through the road.
 
just been round the ring and the same thing here aswel, looks like a graphic glitch plus same thought on new text on the road near were the carousel starts plus is it me or are there other areas with new text on the road (more towards the first quarter of the track?)
 
There's other display bugs like this in GT5, like on the second chicane on the Mulsanne straigth, where sometimes it looks like lighting is reflecting off your car. I've seen this in the weather change version of the track.

Every night a satellite photographs the track and any new graffiti, skidmarks, bloodstains, etc are automatically rendered and then added to the track each time you load it. I think you are seeing an oil-slick from a leaky Lada that was driven on the track 2 days ago.

Where'd you hear that from? And this thread is kind of weird to me, I ran on the 'Ring today and didn't see any kind of rainbow line thing. Or maybe I'm just blind. :dunce:

I think its was a joke, and not a very funny one at that. There is no way PD would make it dynamic like that.

Yeah, I didn't see the humor in that post at all. More like confusing than anything else. I know that thing about the satellite certainly wasn't true though, so was a little curious where he got that idea from. Guess some people's sense of humor is a little strange.
 
I've also seen this coloured line since the update, but in practice mode driving the gtr black edition. Definitely looked like a graphical glitch to me, it looked completely out of place.
 
I'm 3 hrs into the 4hr race. Only time I saw it was when the 2nd place car was behind me going through it.
 
"It's so pretty... Crash." That's what went through my mind when I first saw it. It seems to be just a bug that will be squished in January's update, before 90% of GT players ever notice it.

I also saw what looked like some new writing elsewhere, but It may have just been there all along and I never noticed it. I'm definitely not the biggest Nurb aficionado going around, maybe one of those guys have a conclusive answer for us.
 
Looks like part of the Driving Line aid, even when turned off. Did PD do some changes to the Nordschleife track and messed up something else ?

The weird line does not appear everytime. I got once on a replay, and it changes color and visibility depending on your camera angle... only those lucky enough should see it I guess ! Now where's my pot of gold :)

I seem to notice a "FORZA" in the picture above, so did PD in that case. Cool ! :)

Hmmm, could it be an alternate driving line for the AI Drivers... I wonder ?

I didn't have those pretty colours (only red and bluish white) :grumpy: lol

I also thought it was part of the driving line aid? because of the colour of mine, but I tried it with it on but it's not, close but not quiet.
 
From the picture its in the middle of the track, maybe where graphiics join, (don't know, not an expert) sometimes it looks like a thin black line.

There is defantly new writing on the track, last twisty section before the final straight there's a big white square (defantly wasn' there before) for example. There are others just can't remember as theres alot.
