Ralf Schumacher will leave Toyota at the end of the 2007, the younger brother of seven-time champion Michael Schumacher announced today ending months of speculation about his future with the Cologne-based team.

Having been a Toyota driver for the past three years, I've decided to look for a new challenge," said Ralf who has struggled for most of this season.

"I joined Toyota with high expectations," he added. "It was an exciting challenge to be involved in developing a new car and team, but I am waiting for years for a competitive car."

There is no word on whether he will be able to find another seat for next season, and Ralf is not intending to make any kind of additional statement about his future until after the end of this season.

Oh man, I really hope Sutil gets signed now.

Well he's saying the cars not competitive? What the 🤬? Jarno Trulli has been outperforming him all year long. He even sometimes getting into Q3 while Ralf barely makes it into Q2. Good riddance! He never have the "mood" to perform in F1 these days. Maybe he should go into another motorsport. DTM maybe? But since he's going next year, there is no speculations on which drivers is going to replace him. But to me its either Sutil or Nakajima and maybe even Montagny. (but i really do hope Sutil gets to Toyota.....)

Fixed this for you.

Toyota will dump Ralf Schumacher at the end of the 2007, the younger brother of seven-time champion Michael Schumacher fled today ending months of speculation about his future with the Cologne-based team.

"Having been crap for the past three years, we've decided to get shot," said Tsuchiya Suzuki, catering supplies manager for Toyota, "We hired him to make the tea, but someone recognised him and thought he was supposed to be a driver. By the time the contract was signed, we couldn't back out."

"We all joined Toyota with high expectations," he added. "It was an exciting challenge to be involved in developing a new car and team, but we have had to wait for a competitive driver."

There is no word on whether Ralf will be able to find another seat for next season, and wisely, he is not intending to make any kind of additional statement about his future until after the end of this season. Michael also could not be reached for comment, but according to one of his aides, this was because "he couldn't stop pissing himself laughing."

lmao! Nice one Venari. Either way...well thank feck for that...hopefully no one will want him and we'll get rid of the remaining ugly brother

heh, the chances of Ralf getting a drive in 08 look pretty damn slim. Can't say anyone will miss him. lol

lmao! Nice one Venari.
Ditto 👍

I've decided to look for a new challenge

Is that modern English for "being fired"?!
 And so opens a new chapter of Ralf's career: The Wilderness Years

I wonder what the last meeting with the team bosses was like...

"I'm sorry Ralf, but I think it's maybe time you, erm, looked for a new challenge..."
"A new challenge? You mean.... I'M FIRED!?"
"No Ralf! We're not... "firing" you... we just think you need a new... challenge..."
"What, like driving a Toyota in an F1 race is not enough of a challenge?"
"Right, that's it... you're fired!"

He'll get a drive in NASCAR and then Earth can add him to his list as one of the more talented NASCAR drivers....

Do you ever submit this stuff to Sniff Petrol? If not, you should. 'Cos that's gold

I would rep you but apparently I've done so too recently.

I know why they fired him. He never put enough milk in the tea!

So i guess now you have Glock, Sutil, Doornbos, Nakajima and maybe Rosberg for the second seat?

A while ago, people speculated he might move to the DTM, and join Mika Hakkinen as the list of ex-F1 drivers there.

Toyota: The graveyard for past-their-selldate F1 drivers.

DTM: Heaven/Hell.

Alonso taking his seat isn't that ridiculous, i highly doubt anyone at McLaren wants him there anymore.

I've decided to look for a new challenge
That is a hilarious phrase on multiple levels. For example:
Ralfie: It was too easy to suck when driving for Toyota.
Or even:
Ralfie: I need to go to get Sato on a better pace.

Well why not or will they sign Panis back or something?

Panis is 40-something and retired from Formula 1 a while back, so no.

Although he's probably better than Schumacher.. Hmmm..
