Good point, vtec_guy. Still, though. The Tigra Ice Race Car is perhaps one of the most awesome machines in GT2. If ice races return to the next GT with maybe some courses in the snow (I think that's highly possible to return), it would open up the possibilities of ice racing. I guess I'd like something like the Swedish rally, where you go around in snow. That's not to mention that the Swedish rally is the only natural snow rally in the WRC. I think it's fun because... well, it's snow!

I still like to race that Toyota Tacoma Pikes Peak from 1999 and 2000. That's one of the most extreme rallying machines I've ever seen. It was sweet to see the Toyota Tacoma Pikes Peak take on the Suzuki Escudos in 1999. I'm still inexperienced about some of the big time hill climbers, so you'll have to help a brother out.

As a final note, Lancia, Subaru, and Mitsubishi should have One-Make rally series, as they have been some of the most successful in rally racing, Dakar, hill climb, and all that. Any more suggestions?

The website above is for the Pikes Peak International Hill Cimb. It is the main page that gives you info about the hill climb event. Something I forgot to mention- Formula D drifter Tanner Foust competed in this year's event. I believe he won in some Production class.

There is another hill climb race I read about other than Pikes Peak. You Australian types, read on. There's a hill climb event that takes place in New Zealand called the "Race to the Sky" in Queenstown on the southern island of New Zealand. One of the more popular hillclimbers, Nobuhiro "The Monster" Tajima won this year's race, not to mention winning three consectutive years. More info on that report for N. Tajima's race to the sky in New Zealand can be seen here with the latest incarnation of the Suzuki Escudo: ( http://www.suzukisport.com/motorsport/hillclimb/racetothesky/index_e.html ). By the way, this newer Escudo doesn't look as outlandish as the ones we know and love from Gran Turismos 2 through 4. It looks a lot softer, yet still beastly. Don't you just love Japanese off-road racing? By the way, there are some pictures on that site featuing the latest Escudo in action, so you can see what the Race to the Sky is like.

For fans of Rod Millen and MillenWorks, here is a motorsports link of Rod Millen's motorsport efforts in off-roading, ranging from the Celica GT from 1998, the 2000-ish Toyota Tundra in CORR, and the awesome Toyota Tacoma Pikes Peak:

Have at it.
