rally in gt6 what happend ??

I found nothing so far except for the 3 dirt trial event in international b and one other one in on of the challenge events is this all there is? I'm currently in s class but see nothing in the lower right that suggest that there is anything else that can be unlocked. I have look all over the web and can't find anything , can anyone offer any insight not even a a big rally fan but cut don't see why they would have all the dirt tracks and not utilize them in events, one 3 race event is a joke compared to gt series of the past

I know after learning that several pikes peak cars made it into the game I thought for sure pike's peak would be brought back I was sadly let down my only hope is it comes in an up date , lack of rally events is sad hopefully update will add some to special events. I also miss the rally days of GT 4. Kinda feels like we keep moving back words with gt6
 
I was hoping they would expand on this from GT5. They were the races I enjoyed the most. Maybe some will get patched in later.
 
GT3 rally was so much fun. It was challenging and it felt really good. It seems like they want to include rally but I don't think its a focus anymore, since it's a unique niche of motorsport that doesnt attract much of a crowd
 
All they need to add is pikes peak (old dirt, new paved)... But I agree, rally driving in GT is quite fun but GT 5 showed AI just couldn't compete on dirt.

But with pikes peak as a time trial race pd don't have to worry about AI and the changing weather system would be quite realistic... Not to mention they already have the base track to work with...

But that's so obvious I'm not counting on it happening...
 
The endurance racing in GT6 is also lacking if not a joke 20 min race they call endurance please that as short as as the shortest races in real life if not shorter, the hole s class is lacking in events and races per event and most of all laps , we need more more more ,it s as if they new about the pitstop bug and cut all the s class events to keep us from noticing
 
For the moment, I will assume that any suspiciously missing features will return later as downloadable content, free or otherwise. I almost entirely expect a 'Spec II' to come in the future which may address many of these things. That said, I miss the rally racing too and I actually liked the random rally stages that some GT5 events featured.
 
It seems they just squeezed in those events to find an excuse to use the rally cars. I agree; it's an absolute joke. GT4 had and amazing rally section, but 1 vs 1 races were kind of silly. GT5 had proper point to point races, but the races weren't worth repeating since there was absolutely no incentive and the tracks were very lame. GT6... yeah... it just killed it. I didn't even use a real rally car in hopes that I would unlock proper rally events in the future.
 
I was kinda thinking the spec ll thing may also happen and fine with that as long as it gets here with in 3 months and its not something we have to pay for it , its almost as if for every new feature we go we had to give something else up and it also feels just as rushed as GT was

We'll see a ton of updates over the next few months but I seriously doubt "spec 2.0" will show up anytime soon. With all of the changes and additions we have coming though I couldn't even fathom what might be in "spec 2.0".
 
That "rally" event in the IA missions is also very easy, I was more than a second faster than the minimum for gold... On such a short stage.

I hope they add some more rally events too. I can live with endurance as it is and I don't really care about NASCAR.

Well, Rallycross is also a type of rally :sly: though to be fair most of the cars are the wrong type for that sport.

I'm hopefull for Pike's and Goodwood rally circuit to appear as DLC along with possibly more cars...
 
I think I've said this about half a billion times now:

1: GT5 was the closest we've come to real rallying in GT.
2: There's only one truly realistic rally game available, and that is (unofficially, in about 12 hours depending on time zone) 10 years old and still going strong. Go figure.
3: Rally racing in GT5/6 can be done realistic-ish in online rooms if the host and the drivers have an idea about what they're doing (cough)

So yes, while rally racing (for now at least) is pretty much absent from GT6 offline (hopefully introduced along with the course maker with a point-to-point setting that also works online), you just need to find the right people and do it online. Not exactly the perfect solution, but the way to go if you need your dose of rallying.
