i really have an impression that with the redbull partnership, there should be a pikes peak climb soon. remember that last year sebastian loeb climbed that course with a redbull-peugeot 208T16 and broke the record(fully paved asphalt though, well at least its an achievement)

That was another reason I'm hope for it to come in the update tomorrow would be great since I have finished the game and have nothing to do but race online, and also making the ai faster would help the replay value of the game and would make the arcade mode worth using other than time trials

The lack of rally events, the wideness of rally tracks and so many other things made rally in GT6 a joke again. This is rally:

My opinion towards rallying is that if you can't get it right, don't include it at all. PD like to repeatedly dabble with it, with continually mediocre results thus far.

Even rallycross, which could've been solid in GT5, was completely undermined by narrow tracks and excessive amounts of dust and snow powder, making close racing without contact almost impossible.

WRC4 appears to have followed the precedent and attained only average/mixed reviews - do the actual stages match the courses driven irl?

Not even a little bit. I enjoyed WRC3 for a little while, but once I realised that the stages seem to be just different starting and end points of one larger stage I got fed up with it. Also, Argentina gave me rage :)

It's a shame too, because the dirt traction physics are much improved, and are actually enjoyable now.

Hi, I agree the the traction physics is improved, but don't you think the force feedback on wheel is totally wrong? It's way too heavy to turn the wheel ! In reality, it never feel that way. Low grip surface makes the turning feel light and vague. I'd agree there'd be many little kickbacks, but not that strong.

Am I the only one having this feeling?

Sadly console games like GT6 are made also (or even mainly) for kids, so realistic rally stages are not really an option. All modern rally games have same problem so it's not just about GT6.

Wow this video is crazy the helicopter can't even keep up didn't get a chance to watch it till just now and had to go find it in HD wow you get a good prospective of how fast he is really moving

To the people showing view of the old rally courses it really making me miss them I would be happy if PD brought them back the paved ones I really miss :-(

The redbull-peugeot 208t16 is a must have for gt6

So, conclusion so far:

Bringing back the old dirt and snow courses (such as, beware of nostalgia: Smokey Mountain (North), Tahiti Dirt Route 3 /Tahiti Circuit, Grand Canyon, Cathedral Rocks and Chamonix GT4 Version), even in a slightly-touched-up version, possibly adding a few more (GT2 left-overs, I'm waiting for you) would mean a lot to the community. And for once I actually tend to agree, most of them were great courses. Not so much point-to-point, sure, but what can't be done with the right people?

Yeah I really liked the rally implementation in both GT2 and GT3 - they were almost like seperate games.

I can take them or leave them in GT5 and 6. I did have fun when doing the I-B event in the Suzuki pikes peak though! I had to limit the power, and change the gearing in 1st and 2nd to reduce wheel spin coming out of the slower corners.

It's not only rally that's lacking, also for example Nascar, open wheel racing and endurance racing are missing/not properly represented for some strange reason.

Definitely lacking rally inspired races/events. PD give us more rally cars with each new game but end up taking the rally events away. Doesn't make sense unless they plan on a Rally based DLC at a future date.

Lacking Nascar?? I don't think so. There are nearly twice as many cars available and more events compared to GT5.

Open wheel events? Yes please. Not something I miss because the GT games never really had a good open wheel series, so this would be nice.

The endurance races however are a bit short, BUT in my honest opinion GT5 was a ball-breaker for endurance. A 24hr race for a video game? Seriously? I completed all the 2hr and 4 hr races but struggled to stay awake with the 4hr ones, they just got so boring and tedious. 24 hour race in GT6?? No thanks. Though 2hr would have been a lot better than 24 minutes.

GT6 actually has no track editor...

...but...
There WILL be a track editor in a future update. 👍
