Rally Race

Recently I have been doing a lot of rally racing and have developed a bit of an affinity for it. I've done some looking and haven't been able to find a good series to join, so I have decided to start my own if there is any interest. I am admittedly not very well versed in rally racing, but since this would all be for fun and experiencing a different side of the game here goes:

The series would consist of all off road courses from both the track creator and from the pre-made courses, and would last (unless there is a demand for more races) 5 events.

Track list:
Eiger Norwand K Trail
Chamonix Main (Weather Change)
Liege (Created Course)
Eiger Norwand G Trail
Toscana (Time change)
Alaska (Created Course)

Cars allowed:
Rally cars to 520Pp

Race times:
Races will be held at 8pm EST on Saturday nights. I host the VSCS at 6pm, and have class and work to contend with the rest of the week, so I won't be able to negotiate the time much.

Race length:
20 minutes will be the rough time, and the laps will be assigned for each track to reach that time

Driver registration:
JLawrence/GTP_SpitRacer
Luxy/GTP_Luxy

Again, this is a probe to see who and how many people would be interested in a series like this, and I realize that I still have plenty of work to do in completing the regulations for the group. If you are interested and would like to help with that it'd be greatly appreciated.

I'd be interested :) I used to drive a lot of dirt in GT4 and it's about time I dusted off some rally cars (har, har).

600pp sounds like too much to me (especially with multiple cars on track at the same time). I'd prefer as close to stock WRC cars as possible.

I also can't stand snow in GT5... Any chance of changing Chamonix to Toscana?
 
I can handle that. Is Toscana an unlockable track, or did I just miss it while looking through them? I know I haven't driven it aside from the Sebastian Loeb challenge.

You think that's too much? I've been driving my race modded WRX at about 580pp and it's been a blast. I'd be happy to tone it down though if that's the smart move though.
 
Not sure, I'll have to check.

IMHO, 500pp is plenty, especially with a track full of cars (and hanging dust :) ). Maybe I'm just a curmudgeon :p
 
Nevermind, I'm on it now. It's just short so I overlooked it.

What about 520Pp? That allows for the cars to break in and give the option to have a little aero in there without having to do any engine restrictions etc
 
Great. Now we just wait and see if any interest builds in the series.
Oh, and on a side note, I posted my rally tune for my WRX RM car if you'd like to give it a go.
 
You know I'm in. I'm just wondering if older cars like the Starion can keep up with the WRC cars.
 
I'll be working on it in my lobbies, so I'm sure you'll wind up driving it with me here and there
