In addition to:
  • Cars in different categories will participate with their own kind, no mixed grids
  • All cars in production category are limited to 465 PP (If you do not meet that contact me)
  • Cars (production category) not able to meet 465 PP, and also unable to meet at least 400 PP (fully tuned even) will have to be limited to 365 PP
  • Sports Soft Tires are the highest grade tire available for production category
  • Racing Hard are the highest grade tire available for Rally Cars (WRC et. al.)

Specific to this League:
  • 3 stages in one round
  • 4 rounds in one league
  • 2 leagues per year (one every 6 months, starting on the 1st of August 2011)
  • NO X1s! If you do not have a WRC rally car, Production Homologation Rally Car, etc. Contact me for help

Specific to this league:
  • No Jackassery
  • Lancer Evolutions with RS on them are semi-rally cars. MORE INFO BELOW
  • Semi-Rally cars: Able to compete with street cars and rally cars
So, a short summary:
Production/Homologation Cars (those with Rally Car counterparts in RL and/or in GT5)
Car Classes: (There will be 5 separate classes that will participate)
Spec 1: 250 to 350pp with Sport Soft Tires
Spec 2: 351pp to 450pp with Sport Soft Tires
Spec 3: 451pp to 550pp with Sport Soft Tires
Spec 4: 550pp+ with Sport Soft Tires and downforce allowed
Classic: Pre-1980's Cars up to 500pp with Sport Soft Tires
NO Racing Tires

Up to 6 cars can run at the same time, sorted by class (I'll post that later on, I need at least
Race will be set to 3 laps
ALL Aids OFF except ABS
Off track traction set to REAL
Damage set to HEAVY
Penalties OFF

This would have been cool if it was done on stage times like real wrc and not a race with multiple cars on track.

It is possible, I've done it before. It takes a lot of time though.

Also, some of that info was taken from my Targa thread. I don't mind if people use my info to create their own series, however it would be nice if I was asked before it was taken. 👍

it would also be cool of polyphony to allow stages to be created in the editor as well... *sigh* at least dirt 3 provides SOMETHING huh?
 
I think the ideal way to do it is to have a time trial based race. Randomly create a race then have people go one at a time with 20 seconds intervals. Make sure that you have the time limit set to max so everyone can complete. do one lap then take the time of that one lap minus the time they started and do a leaderboard. do one race a week and then the person with the lowest overall time is the winner, just like in real wrc.

I've done this with RadNomad... you pretty much have to have 3-6 people in the room, all of them honest.... well, i guess only the last guy to leave has to be honest. It is fun, because you don't have the dust in your face and people ramming into you, but then again, doorhandle to doorhandle rallying is fun too.

we use to have a wrc league that was very similar to that, it was great fun while it lasted. I think there may be too many classes of car for this to be easily organized.
