there's stuff say in response to that, but i'm afraid it'd get me banned...not to mention that the vocabulary will nullify my fast for the day.

let's put it this way...the palistine israel thing is a LAND issue, not a religion issue.

imagine living in a place where your family was forced out of their homes, stripped of human rights and then surrounded by foreign soldiers who despise you and your people. imagine living your entire life in a situation like that where you see people you know being hurt and harrassed on a constant basis. now, do you see where the desparation for something like that comes from?

More. Haven't you seen the new's?
try to make a 12#$R!@#$!@#$ friendly thread and people generalize us all as #!$!@#$@!#$ terrorists. the violence ON BOTH SIDES has increased but you will ONLY be shown what makes US look bad on the !#@$ news.

i don't wanna hafta have this thread deleted or closed, so keep it friendly u morons. i realise things are bad there...but both sides are increasing the violence and nothing's gonna take back all the lives lost on both ends of it.

either way...i'm out of this thread, i'm afraid i'll say something i shouldn't.

Ramadan mubarak emad. I'm actually not fasting today because I had quite a few things to do and I didn't feel that they would get done efficiently. When is Eid, I can't seem to find my calender that has all of the sunrise/sunset times on it? Thanks.

1) it shows us that there are others less fortunate than us
2) i forgot the exact reason, i think it marks the beginning of the islamic calendar (i don't remember the event that started it). i'm not that knowledgable in the area

november 25 (based on moon sighting) as far as my calendar goes.

u'll be able to confirm @ www.moonsighting.com

All I know is that it is a lunar cycle. Fasting has pretty much the same purpose in all religions. It forces you to focus on why you are fasting since you have to think about it all the time, to (over) simplify it. It's analogous to Lent in Christianity.

Fasting is a valuable tool even for those of us who do not practice any organized religion. It's about self discipline, and putting ephemeral things in their proper place, which everybody ought to do every now and then.

Good Ramadan to all.

I fast every Yom Kippur, and it's quite easy once you're over the past few hours. You just remind yourself why you're fasting; it's more than "not eating." Last year, I started a new game of GT2 from scratch after I got back from temple, and really forgot all about food. No food, no drink, no problem.

The funny part is, my appetite is somewhat decreased for a week or so following the day of fasting. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this effect?

No one singled you out, and NO ONE called you a Terrorist. Don't be so quick to make a reply, read the post first.

I could care less about you, or your religion. Someone asked if Ramadan = more terrorist attack's. I said, "have you not seen the new's?" Simple as that.

When it can time to break the Yom Kippur fast I wasnt hungry. Was more aware of having heavy duty morning breath then anything else. Cant remember though how my appetite was affected in the days after though.

man, your attitude to all muslims it just bloody typical...

contrary to popular belief, not everyone that celebrates the holy month of Ramadan is a suicide bomber my friend

What country's "popular belief" believes that everyone who celebrates Ramadan is a Terrorist?

I don't like darklegion, but he asked a legit question.

Also, to say there is no truth, to the fact that the bombing's have increased, would be completly untrue. Just the other day, I watched what was left of people, after 5 bomb's went off in a matter of hour's; including an Ambulence filled with explosives.

In my eyes, I see it never ending.
