random advert auto redirects..

has anyone else found that sometimes when using GTplanet forums they will be mysteriously redirected to a seemingly random page of the internet without any apparent reason?!
this has happened to me a few times now, and is especially annoying as i then have to use task manager to close IE and get back to where i was..
there is warning when this is happening as the loading/info bar at the bottom of IE rapidly show hundreds of addresses being accessed..

I had this happen once here last week, although my mouse was acting up a bit so I cannot 100% confirm it was a gtplanet. I didn't have to task-manage to stop it, I just closed that one tab as I had several up (Firefox).
 
it's no big drama, just slightly annoying/perturbing. like i said, has happened to me a few times, and at least once whilst i was afk..
 
It will help Jordan if you can give him a link to the site it directs you to. As well as the page you were on here before getting re-directed.


Also, run a virus/malware/spyware check as that could cause it to re-direct as well.

ok, will do next time happens again.

it has happened when i have clicked to read a thread, and also when click to post reply or edit.

i am pretty sure it has something to do with the 'ads by google'.
