Thats quick is that with the ballast?

No ballast yet, just messing with tunes. Gonna add the ballast today and run some more times. Wanted to see how the car handles each way so I know exactly where the disadvantages are.

2%, correct?

Yes sirs. This has the potential to be a great race or a total ****-show, lol. Very tough track in 450PP FWD cars.

lol, I'm predicting a lot of bumping in this one on such a tight track. Should be awesome, 450pp is a lot for FWD cars on a tight track. Hopefully my heavier Mazda 6 will be able to bully everyone and push all the hondas around lol.

Hey Chris, can you please make an adjustment to the Championship Points, I actually have 4 points not 3. lol ; )

Great race guys that was exciting! I really think everyone is getting more competitive on track. Too bad we all couldn't make it for that one. I will be missing next weeks race so someone will have to step up and calculate points after next weeks race.

Grand Valley East Welcomes - MRMR Track Day

TRACK

Grand Valley East

RULES

- Vehicle must be a mid-range, mid-engine RWD platform. Any country or make.
- No race cars, race mods, or concept cars allowed. Production models only, new or used.
- PP limit is 470
- Racing suspension is mandatory
- Clutch/flywheel tuning is permitted.
- Sports medium tires.
- No transmission or differential upgrades
- No chassis of engine refreshes
- Race will be 45 minutes long
- No pit limit. Push until you need it. Ride it out if you believe it.
- Both Aero parts AND wing allowed.
- No weight reduction is permitted, ballasting is in unlimited amounts.
- No TCS is allowed.

I will be taking a 4% mandatory ballast for this race, 2% up from the last race due to back-to-back wins. I am at a severe disadvantage this time around as I'm not skilled at driving RWD platforms. Christian will be away for this race, so come get these points guys! Keep it clean, race hard and if you're not trying to win don't enter.

I'm not in for this race anyways, but no ABS is a little drastic. It's not so easy for the guys with the controllers to modulate brakes without locking them up. It's really hard even with a wheel especially on a mid engine car. But its your call, if you choose not to change it my advice to everyone is lower your brake bias all around and practice braking early. Good luck to everyone but Baggy spandex.:sly:

I ran no abs just for fun. It was extremely difficult! If I am lucky it may still be a competive time. Here's my lap time and car i would have used.

lotus esprit sport 350 (no abs)
time: 1:11.631
consitent in the 1:11.9s

see you all next week.

Yeah, the no ABS was misguided judgement. Not too experienced in MR cars, or RWD for that matter. After a shakedown, it would have been messy. No TCS is a must, but ABS can stick around for competition and cleainess' sake.
