How rare is it? Is it possible to happend while I am not playing?
I use two accounts for duping. Should i use two USB's to save them? Or is one safe enough? Did PD do anything to solve this?

I'm not sure what PD can do to solve it. I think corruption occurs when files are not copied accurately, so you should ask if Maxtor, Samsung, and Western Digital have solved it. There's simply an error rate, and if you copy a file enough times, there will be little problems.

And it's an exploit. I'm not complaining. Exploit away, my friend, but PD won't solve it.

Industry standards for data corruption range from 1 to 3 percent, though you often never even see it. If there's a problem, a well written program can try to work around it and save it accurately, and you never notice the problem.

Your solution, to make a double backup, is a very good idea.

Happened to me twice, the second time being just tonight. I recommend saving often and to multiple USB drives.

If your hard drive save goes corrupt (during a save whilst playing) and you try and save to USB (after quitting game)you will get a warning, although it is easy to miss.

If your USB drive save goes corrupt and you over write your hard drive you get no warning...you will corrupt your hard drive save (when you re-start game: load will fail due to corrupt data)

be careful dudes!

EDIT: i should note that i have over written saves literally hundreds of times, duping and ripping tickets.

If you have Playstation Plus which I got from the welcome back pack it let's you access online storage and back up your games idk if this would work or not

File Corruption doesn't have any likelihood of it happening. It basically happens when data transmissions are interrupted, or in other words, when you exit out of the game while it's saving. The environment, hardware, & software failures can also corrupt data. To make sure you're able to recover them at the earliest convenience, backup occasionally & have several of them stored somewhere, esp. if you're duping constantly.

Backups do not avoid the likelihood of corrupted data. They offer a way to recover to some point in time when the corrupted files are identified.

Oh, sorry. I worded that wrong.

I would use a different USB stick (different looking/different brand) for each account just so you don't accidentally back up over the wrong one. Been there done that. :D
