Anybody else playing this? It's about as good as TOD. However, it has some even more painful glitches than TOD, which hurts its score.

Since it's similar to TOD, I give it an 8/10. BUT, since the glitches are so horrible, I took off an extra point. That gives it a 7/10. However, the boost boots are back and are used a lot and are a big feature in the game. I hate the bloody things! I gave it an extra point off for the boots, so the game gets 6/10

You should know, I'm not a big platform game fan. If you are, and don't mind glitches, and like the booster boots just fine, you should score this game much higher.

What glitches? How about not being able to complete mission off your mission list, yet you completed the mission? Next, there's a part of the game when you need to act fast, consistent and precise. The glitches greatly molest with all three and make the game FRUSTRATING as hell!

BTW, I completed it and if you need help or have questions, shoot.

Finished the game last night (11/2/09) on the hardest difficulty setting. Now I'm gonna go back and look for those RYNO V parts and imo, the real fun starts with blowing up all kinds of stuff and flying through all the levels, w00t! The mission checklist is annoying and I didn't notice it until the end anyways since its pretty obvious what to do next. I've finished all the console R+C's (the PSP one that htey 're-did' for PS2 looked horrendous, I don't even count that one) and this one wasn't as good as UYA, but I'd agree its about as good as TOD. Still a great game and series though. I'd give it a 9.0 overall, they did try to develop a great storyline this time and did well.

TOD was my first Ratchet and Clank game, and I thought the stories were both great. Supposedly, this one answers a lot of questions.

What I like about the stories, is the acting and the jokes that come along with it. There was more than once where I laughed at loud. This game series seems to have a great sense of humor, which is why I bother to play this platformer.

Some funny lines I liked were...

"My arch enemy, water!"
"Foiled by my arch enemy, technology!"
"Those must be the parents! What were those things? They were absolutely horrible!"
"Mr. Zircon likes to kill all day long, do-da, do-da. Mr. Zircon likes to kill all day long, oh to do-da day!"
"Why don't you pick on somebody your own size! Like a rabbit!"

 yea, "Mr. Zurkon lives on fear." If you can play Up Your Arsenal on PS2, its worth your time. And Cpt. Quark is always entertaining. The build up of him in the first game was not what I expected at all for some reason. I thought he would be....uh, smarter :)

Hrm, my wife has been playing it pretty heavily and hasn't encountered any glitches yet. There are a few gold bolts we can't suss out how to get to yet, but no glitches. Certainly haven't had trouble with the hover boots.

Well, one possible glitch, but it may just be us. There was one of the mesa levels where you have to defend a town of those bent-over-robot things from attack. We didn't have any gameplay problems completing the mission. But while doing so, we noticed a sort of concrete-funnel-thing down in one of the chasms. After the shooting was over we went to see if it could be explored, but we couldn't find it again.

Wow, you don't have a problem with the boots? Amazing to me and a few others I know. The Dr. Nefarious battle was a curse-laden PITA for me. I must have restarted that one booster boots stage a couple hundred times. The problem is the camera angle changes at the most improper times and the adjustment and control of the camera. Horrendous! I finally made it through by switching to a traditional controller (was using FragFX v. II mouse).

If you haven't experienced any glitches yet, consider yourself lucky. However, I think your luck will eventually run out. Have you done the 'second run-through' on the clock, yet? When you do, you need to do the Mnemonic Station Gold Bolt puzzles to earn the last three Gold Bolts. When you do them, there are constant glitches that always screw you up. Just a heads up. BTW, these three puzzles are a lot harder than the ones in the first play-through, but I got through them all OK.

Man, to be honest I really had no clue what to do with those temperal recording clanks until the end. I spent a good 30 minutes on that puzzle with all four colors, two vertically moving posts and floating squares...cripes! But then the remaining ones were easy, guess the light bulb went off (eventually). I too had no issues with the boots, but then again if I want to turn I don't use the boost and then us it again for the straights. As for the battle with the final bosses I found it best to point Ratchet in the direction I want to go while on those arrow ramps so I can just hold it straight to land the next one. Moving him about in the air is where I kept dying.

I'd like to see if the game saves can be shared. If so, I'll post in my game save thread. But, since you two are the only people here who have the game, please download it and try it.

It's a game save at the end of my first play through, which gives you the option to either go back in time or to start a challenge mode new game, which allows you to play with all my purchased and V5 weapons. All Gold Bolts, Zoni and Halo Plans found with the RYNO 5 in inventory. Also, 300+ Skill points for some cheat unlockables.

I think Insomniac should stop making Ratchet & Clank games unless the come up with a new formula. The current gameplay is almost the same as the first ever R&C. Give us something new.

And the game is still just as fun. The more R&C the better. (My first R&C was TOD)

I suck at this game, especially the clock part! But the rest of it was addicting, even though it was kind of repetitive.

Since your fairly new to R&C, you don't see my point. For those who have been playing R&C from the PS2 days, should be able to get my point.

I actually have gone back and played the ps2 versions after I played TOD. I just was never familiar with the series till it came out on ps3.
