Here is a thread for rating tracks!

Here is mine with Cote D'Azur:

98% (A+)

Cote D'Azur is all about the super sharp corners and the beautiful landscape. Besides, this is the track for the real racer :trouble:

BTW, I somewhat stole your idea, audiracing :p  :trouble:

I like Midfield. seems like a pretty perfect racetrack. Also the one with the UBER chicane you have to take in 2nd, good course.

i have two favourites:
Cote D'Azur - beautiful surroundings and a little bit of a challenge
Laguna Seca - VERY fun track to drive!

Complex String 98-100
yes you heard me, this place has everything, long straights, corners that tighten/open on the apex, tight 90 degree bends, a coouple of slalom sections and some ultra hard braking zones
This place is fantastic, only downside, and thats very minor IMO, is that it's a touch long

SSR 11 - gets a 93/100 - it has everything, high speed, tight turns, elevation changes and U turns that are all about point and shoot :D. The only thing this track is missing is tighter competition by the AI. . .

DF 1&2

now this is a track to challenge! It'll throw your car around like a rag doll! I love it and use it as a benchmark for car handling testing.
I can find no fault in this track in either direction and the AI sem to be able to handle it.
100%

cote. short fast str8s, sharp corners and a wicked chicane! not a fast track at all, but one that tests your braking ablility. The thing i love about it is that is quite narrow in parts so you have to pick your overtaking points.
its downfall: the AI suck at it mostly...
92%

complex string would win this hands down as it really has everything, but i only give it 60% as it is way too long. it bores me.

I love the two road courses, Seattle and Tokyo. Good urban scenery, and I enjoy driving on them, especially Seattle since it nicely mixes the high speed and lower speed sections. Complex String is also very good, since it's got almost every type of corner you could find, and Laguna Seca is great, especially the corkscrew, although I find it a bit of a repetitive course.

[sarcasm]Well I just gotta have that Test Course, oh yeah! 👍[/sarcasm]

On a more serious note, SSR5 (Wet) is a real treat in a stock car, I love to throw the car around when I enter the tunnel, or when I approach the first hairpin.
SSR11 I'm still fond of, SSR11 II I just can't get comfortable in though.
And if the AI were a little smarter so as to not smash into the cliff on Trial Mountain I'd definitely pick it, but such is life...

My favorite track is Apricot Hill. :D
My driving gets a really good 'rhythm' there  I don't really know, what i mean, but driving around Apricot, just feels good. :)

I thought these rate a track and car things worked like this...

Say i start the thread, i name a track and i rate it...at the end of my post i say something like.."next track:bla bla" and the next person rates it and then chooses a track and the person after him rates the track he chose.

This thread seems to be about people saying wich track they like and don't like.

My favorite track is SSR5 I give it a 95/100 I love to do the little chicane with the P001.

It does not matter whatever talk about rating tracks we do. I created a thread like this because I thought this would be interesting.

Besides, after looking at the Rate A Car thread, I had the idea to create a thread for rating tracks. Do not criticize what I did, HsV :irked:

He wasn't critisicing just saying that he though it would be the same method, the fact that it isn't the same isn't a bad thing, anyway, to keep on topic, my faveroute track has to be Grand valley, it's the GT1 classic and as much as I like Deep forest and Trial mountain, it's Grand valleey that I keep going back to again and again. It just feels like a real track as far as driving goes but it's much more interesting, it throws harpins afterlong straights, theres uphill corners, downhill corners, chicanes, tunnels and plenty of fast corners as well. 97%.

I didn't criticize you, i was only saying what i thought this thread would be like, because at the start you didn't really give a method...it endud being a "whats your favourite track thread". I'm not saying thats bad though.

Echoing everything that Bollocks said about Complex String except that I really don't mind the length. The track is good enough to hold your attention throughout the lap, the long straight gives you a chance to rest your thumbs.

Indeed 👍

Ving: You want a track that the AI suck on? Try Grand Valley II, the AI have absolutely no idea there

Seattle Circuit 1 - 95% - Such a fun and difficult track; definitely my favorite track. A great track to enjoy a medium powered FR car. When mastered the double apex turns are quite a rush. My only complaint with this track is that it’s a little bumpy to be driving a hard-tuned race car on without getting banged around.

Seattle Circuit 2 – 65% - This track isn’t well laid out for reverse racing. Some sections just aren’t nice when raced backwards (the chicane at the end of the main straight, the downhill jumps, and the off camber turn after the back straight). On this one the bumps just seem to be an exactly the wrong spot (the train tracks just as you’re lining up your exit).

I have to say mine is Grand Valley. On a side-note my all time fav is the Tahiti track on GT2, not the dirt one but the paved one you get in the Sunday cup. Its a blast in the RUF CT2, the compition may be too easy but the track itself is fun.

Deep Forest 100
Midfield 100
Apricot hill 90

these are just about my top 3 and boy do i love them. Deep forest is soo fun in an FR and midfield is flowing and fast. Apricot hill has good esses which you need to get spot on to be able to keep going fast.

my fav track is SS route 5. It's a nice little road course that you can go pretty fast on. I'd say 95/100
I also like test course, but it can get boring after a while. perfect for max speed tests though 75/100

95% for Midfield !

Actually I like Apricot Hill better 96% 👍

but midfield is the second in row and quicker to select..... Apricot hill is some "right directional button pushes" too far away....... :grumpy:
