If any driver want go fast, he need go very fine...

Drifting is constantly time loser and he need try no abusing the steering wheel, use only steering wheel ratio needed and "play" with the trhotle to put the car where you want 👍

Im not an expert, but im karting driver, so y know the theory and y can say the theory is similar. Also you need keep in mind you need "play" too with the weight - masa transfer.

This in karting dosnt happen so much times :)

Here a Video of me cruising around, using a Logitech G25 wheel, been using a controller for 6-7 years and only had this wheel for 4-5 days, hardly practice so I am looking for constructive criticism if possible please.

Thank you all so kindly, in advance.

Before some asks, yes this is GT HD, the reason why i posted it here in the Prologue forum is because I am asking if it will be good enough to get 100% through Prologue, is this driving physics much different?

Edit: I had ASM and TC off, R2 tires.

Very smooth, it looks like your just taking it easy and cruising like you said. ( you actually make it look easy). It would be nice to see a comparison of driving with the wheel and with the controller. I enjoyed the vid theres no shakey-camera so thats a plus and I enjoyed watching the EVOs suspension work. By the way, how do the pedals feel? Are the more sturdy (realistic)than the previous versions?

No disagreements there, which is why I find it strange that the 1st and 3rd fastest times for the tuned 599 used a significant amount of drifting. The number two time used a bit less, and definitely looked better. Perhaps it is a result of the times being wiped every week? Those who are able to do the fastest laps without drifting have little reason to go back and reclaim the number one time every week?

I dont know why Vincent if y didnt see the replay video :)

And what about circuit are you talking? Eiger?

There are drivers in the reality like Jean Ragnotti, Patrick Snijers, Colin Mcrae, etc... who need go sideways to go fast, becouse is their peculiar and agressive mode to go fast and get good times, BUT! one thing is go little sideways, to turn the tigh corners without force too much the steering wheel (helping with the handbrake to put the car in the correct direction) and other one, much different is goes all the time sideways(drifting)!!

This isnt a driving technique to try go fast, is imposible.

But im saying is imposible get good time going drifting all the time, im not saying you cant get good lap time sliding the car a little in SOME turns/ corners! like this, yes! is posible! :)

Sorry for my english again... :nervous:

Brake hard straightline and then slowly release the brakes while turning in order to maximize grip and keep the car's balance.

Correct.

And dont get on the power 100% till the car is stable in the back....Keeps the back from steping out as the power comes on.

Oh, no problem. I was a bit vague as well. They weren't drifting like they would to get a high score on the drifting mode, but they were taking the hairpins very aggressively, sliding around the corners, but using a much better line.

Edit: And yes, the track is Eiger.

Ajam...interesting Vincent.. :)

Can you post here those video please? :sly:

Thanks

Oh, tuned version. Then you can improve your time a lot, so you need to step on gas more and break harder. I have a time below 1.10, iirc.

Eh, sorry. I don't have any equipment that would allow me to do that at the moment... I suppose there is no software that can be used to record directly from the PS3, right?

No. But if you have the replay saved you can just upload that tiny file.

Since it was slightly too big to upload here directly, you can find the fastest current replay here.

Hey guys, well happy easter Mondays here in Australia.

I just woke up, going out on a hunt for a better setup for my wheel, then when I get back i'll do a video of me with a controller for comparison.

Thanks for all the help/comments etc..

Ok guys, got the hot lap done with the Ferrari 599 with the Sixaxis.

Car: Ferrari 599 (Tuned Version)
Tyres: R2
Aids: ASM and TC off
Note: Used the Sixaxis Controller!!!!!!!

Not my fastest lap ever but close enough.

There you all go!!

uh no one? Nothing?

I did all that for nothing?

:(

From watching it, there is not really anything I can say, as your time is about two seconds faster than mine. The only thing you might want to do is check out some of the replays of the top five laps through the rankings in the main menu. Just be wary of any bad habits they might have. (:
