Cash for online TT and racing 💡

What are everyone’s thoughts??

I know its all about the fun of racing etc...But don’t you all think it would make things a lot more interesting?


This is how I think it would work. V 1.0


1. I would need at least 100 people to sign up on my blog.
2. Pick a track and a series.
3. Set a maximum lap time limit.
4. Post your lap times with video. 5. Separate qualifiers’ into groups of 10 in order of fastest lap times.
6. Email sent to each person with room and race details.
7. 20 minute qualifying for grid position.
8. Host to sit in on race to confirm winner.
9. Winner gets paid.

So you would have lets say for arguments sake 100 people came within the maximum lap time.
Players would pay £1.50 to enter race. (Don’t know how yet)
10 races of 10 people, winner from each goes through to final of 10.

Winner gets £150.

Very vague at the moment but would be interested in any ideas etc.

i have 100+ and id be surprized if i was trusted with an idea like that.

Also, a good point because you need to get to know the community a bit like I have.

I would never get round to doing this but in a perfect world it would be good, certainly add a new dimension to online racing.

I'm pretty sure I read something in the rules somewhere here that we're not allowed to coordinate races for actual real world money, I could be wrong.

It could work when you have a group of mates who know eachother but when online playing for money there are no rules and people will do everything to be the best. I doubt you'd get any proper racing this way.

You could do some free preliminary rounds though to remove the bad apples without betting money.

Coming to think of it. its sort of online gambling with skill.
I wouldnt mind paying £1.50 for an evenings racing with a chance of winning some money.

And I bet the racing would be awesome.

As it happens, I started a time trial tournament a week ago which is just on one track, and you can win in-game items, as well as doing a random draw for an EU PSN code with at least 25 people (otherwise no code).

As people have said, it's best to use PSN codes to give away rather than real money. People may not trust it as much as a code, and you'll get idiots knocking each other off the track just for a few bob...

I used to do prize draws on Forza a couple of years ago with the odd Microsoft Points card and it worked a treat. 👍
